I am working as an office/store manager for almost 3yrs now. I do not have so much complaint about my boss. But I guess what I feel right now is like that Iam very confused with all the task and responsibilities I have. I am handling 2 restaurant shops. Though for 2 months now I am now concentrated with my primary shop. But I heard from my officemate that they are planning to put more loads on me. What do you think?

Hi, Ivorychristine I am getting directly to the point here. Working is hard everywhere and getting a work in which you have not much to complaint about is absolutely rare! So I say you wait until the talk about more loads really happens...or, if the talk never happens, but the loads start to come. Because it will be time to talk RAISE with you boss... So, sweety, wait just a little bit more...if they are putting so much on you, it's because they think you are capable of doing all of this. Be careful to mention raise in a nice way and if they say no, then you decide what to do... But wouldn' it be nice if it worked?!?! If you leave now, you'll never know...and don't worry, there are lots of other jobs waiting for a capable and responsible person like you! :) Best wishes.

Thanks so much for uplifting my spirits. Probably it is about the raise. I dunno how to start the conversation, but I guess they should have known about this since my contribution to their company is not a joke. Im not lifting my own chair here however working without any assistant nor with firm department is something I should be proud of. And probably im so stressed out. I received a comment from a school director last week that Im like a rose but withered. too much stress. :(

No, thank YOU for the opportunity to help somehow. I am pretty sure that amongst all the qualities you have as part of the team, trustworthy is your major. Have you noticed how little can we trust people nowadays? Unfortunately, we can always tell how people who work with us behave, but never what they think. So be aware they are not trying to make you feel down, more worried than you should, or make you want out. Because I know people tend to envy positions, althought they might not be ready for responsibility. I am sure you are no withered rose...people need sometime for good music, a movie, friends, a hug, a kind word, or even being alone to think things right. Make sure you mix it a little bit in your life, although you have all this work to do. I was told recently that everytime we have to do something that drains out our energy, we should pamper ourselves first, in preparation to find balance. I found this: http://www.careerbuilder.com/Article/CB-697-The-Workplace-Talking-to-Your-Boss-Without-Stressing-Out/ I hope it helps you with the proccess. Sincerely, me.
