So are you finding yourself coupon clipping more or less nowadays? Most likely the answer is yes, becasue the holidays are coming up, the economy is still ehh, and people are still out of work. I backed off on it for awhile because of time constraints...but during that time I can definitely tell a difference in my actual budget without them. So back to the coupon hunt I go. Now I can also load my e-coupons on my Kroger plus card which is awesome because when I buy the product it autmoatically gets deducting...no clipping and stowing. Plus, I have noticed before if I have the same coupon (I actually forgot I had one eloaded) I got both savings when I bought the product. And also when you see those contests entry things on the receipts do them...because usually they have a comment section during the contest/survey entry. I hounded my local krogers with each one about either putting in a krogers gas station on my side of town or working along with various gas stations so customers can use their Fuel plus points (you earn with store purchases) of ten cents off a gallon all over town instead of one side of town...well now shell gas stations are working with krogers and their plus card to help us all save ten cents a gallon. I like to think my harrassing comments (in a friendly way) helped make this happen!!!! LOL So are you a savings-maxinista?

I think coupons are great if you take the time to cut them out and then redeem them when you can get the most savings. The problem with coupons is that you have to be loyal to one store in order to really see the savings add up. I know that Kroger/Dillions has a savings program but a lot of stores on the west coast don't. I would rather do digital coupons and have them scanned while I shop so I don't have to show them at the checkout.

I do clip coupons for several things. I mostly use the personal hygiene item coupons, such as deodorant, soaps, shampoos & conditioners. I also use some of the food coupons but I find that I prepare more things from scratch and have no need for the boxed meals that alot of the coupons are for. I also shop at places where I can save the most money. I prefer to shop Aldi's for all of my canned goods because they are much cheaper. I buy in bulk at Sam's club on things such as rice, sugar, flour, yeast, chocolate powder (for baking), shredded cheeses, sliced cheeses, butter, milk, eggs and several fresh fruits & veggies. If Sam's has a good sale on their meats I will also get them there. I have found that many of the smaller local grocery stores such as Carlie C's IGA and Piggly Wiggly have better deals on meats. I love to go to Piggly Wiggly when they have their meat stock sale! I have gotten 20 pound boxes of pork chops for $14! I also like to buy whole ribeyes there and they will slice them on the spot to my specs. We are looking into getting a side of beef from a local butcher but we are really weighing the price of this. In the end it might be cheaper for us. Piggly Wiggly also offers whole pig specials that I think I will check into as well. Prices are going up so much around here. Getting that Kroger to work with Shell was a great boon for you! I am sure you are very happy with your success. I do not live near a Kroger or Lowes food store. I wish I did, I love double coupons!

Using coupons is the best way to save money because it offers discount on those regular priced items. Those coupons do not come easy as well. It's more commonly seen and used during or close to festive seasons. Other than coupons for groceries, I have alot of fast food coupons too. That enables me to have cheaper meals, even to the extend of having 2 meals for the price of 1. In that way, I'm saving alot via coupons. With the extra money saved, I will use it to clear my debts.

my husband is not allowed to dot he shopping anymore because he cannot stay within our budget, precisely because he does not go to the store armed with coupons and other stores circulars. I go to walmart where they will price match which saves me several different stops. I do not have a kroger near me to use the nice rewards program that they have.

I am using coupons too but i have to cut it out from newspapers, magazines, etc. and it takes time and at times I loose it,also how do you get coupons for all those things that you only use. If you have the time please let me know.

i do clip coupons but often find that the store brand item is cheaper than the name brand item even with the cents off. i also visit the library most of the time for books and movies plus i shop at thrift stores for most of my clothes.

I tend to think that I have a long way to go before I will be as frugal with my dollar as I can possibly be. However, we did learn a little something today about saving money. We've been using Turbo Tax for years to do our income taxes and we were subscribed to their automatic renewal service. Well, the charge started pending on our bank card and we have to pay our house payment this week so we just didn't have the money to do it so my husband called intuit. We told them that we would order in a month or so when we have money and they informed us that it will probably be cheaper for us to buy the product locally so we will be buying it in January when it is available locally.

At least some of you have coupons to clip. Where I am there is no such thing as 'clipping coupons'. I guess the only way to save is to buy things that are more economical, or simply to do without some items. Even asking for discounts can be a real pain. I hope the economy gets better soon.

I have just moved back home to the UK and I have had no choice but to start clipping coupons from wherever I can. I have also been looking online for voucher codes and i have already saved a few pounds on christmas gifts by shopping online. I have always been the sort of person who hunts down a bargain, so I am really loving the savings I am making on the weekly grocery shopping.

During the last 27 years I've had to be ridiculously thrifty through most of it. Raising three boys, sometimes lack of jobs, etc. I've got a jump start on thrift. I could give lessons! For instance 12 brown and serve sausages can weigh 12 oz. or 16 oz. or somewhere in between. Baking your own breads, sweet breads and cookies save you a ton! Pay attention to prices period. Choose 4 stores that give you the cheapest prices. I go to one store for paper products and cleaning supplies, another for basic food needs, another for their cheap meat prices! Coupons help a little but paying attention to prices and trends stores follow help more!

I do clip coupons and load them I use a few different sites to load them on PG saver actually has one and so does upromise the one I use the most is shortcuts. I also get the paper and clip coupons. I save money where I can. Since becoming a mom I really have become cheap and have learned a few tricks. I started a home daycare and make half of what I was making but I get to stay home. So I stretch our money as far as I can. I have been Christmas shopping since September. I have found many good coupons for toys. I may have even gone over board a bit. I found some great coupons from toys r us and was able to get her two dolls for under the price I would have paid for one. I actually had a toy that I had got with some diaper points that after seeing it was too young for my daughter so I just exchanged it at a store, they sell it there but I got her the one toy that she really wanted. I still have some my little ponys in my closet that I got with a buy one get one free coupons. Then I got tag books when they were on sale and with a $4 off coupon. I have found that if you want a Disney movie they usually release coupons that helps. Last Christmas I got things off cragslist and ebay. I got some items off disneystore.com when they were on sale and there was free shipping. I always watch for the free shipping. I also have a few site where I can earn gift cards I got about $90 worth off of amazon for her for Christmas. I always try to look for a deal when I can, when it first started my husband made fun of me now when he wants something he asks me if I can find a coupon or a deal. I have also had toys break or have flaws I call the companies and they will replace them or send me out a voucher. I guess I should go load some new coupons on before I forget again.
