do i need a credit card registered on paypal?

paypal gives me notice that i still did not complete my registration because i didn't register any credit card on my account. will this make a problem if i want to withdraw my earned payment on mylot? i don't know which steps to take actually. i don't have a credit card. can i use another person's card?

hi chiumee, first make sure that the message you received really came from paypal, you see there are a lot of fake paypal phishing messages going on around that just wants to get your credit card or bank information.
Now let me try to answer as best as i can, first your do not need a credit card or bank account to register on paypal, just make sure that you are on the legit site www.paypal.com and not on any site that pretends to be paypal.
second you will need to enter a credit card if you want your pp account to be verified, you may also need this if you want to transfer your earned money. A cheaper way is to add a bank account if pp supports your country, they charge less if you transfer to a bank account than to your credit card.
thirdly you must have your own bank account and credit card, you cannot use one that does not belong to you, your name on your pp account should match the name on your card or bank account otherwise it will go back to your pp account when you try to withdraw and they will charge you 5usd for the failed transaction.

i'll see what result i may get from your instructions. i believe i have the legitimate paypal account from the legitimate paypal website. i have already checked my pp account and i actually received my first ever payment from mylot. so i got excited to have received my first earned money on mylot. yet i was stopped when i realized i have to be verified. so now, i have to make sure my bank account details has to be exactly the same with what i have registered on paypal. better yet, it has to be the other way around.hehe. but can i change my details i registered on paypal??. thanks so much. such a newbie you know things so well. i appreciate your help. welcome on mylot.

So glad that to hear that i helped in a way, yes i may be a newbie in mylot but i'm not exactly a newbie when it comes to business, may it be online or business in the real sense, yes you can always change or edit your paypal profiles except in some aspects like name etc...it is limited only to things like typographical errors,again just inform me my friend if you encounter any more problems,will be more than willing to share what i know. i wish you the best and happy earning

To become verified you need a credit card, but to get around that, you can try putting a bank account on there. That is what I did to get verified. Generally speaking, you do NOT need a credit card to use paypal.

in reality you can use also a prepaid card and not only a classic credit card!!The most important thing about the prepaid card you want register on paypal is that it must enable some famous circuit as visa electron or mastercard for example and so you cna register this prepaid card as a credit card and even verify your account throught this...i think that now there is a prepaid card sponsirised from paypal available for some countries..the subscription is free and you can use it as a normal prepaid card on paypal or online shopping..

You don't need any credit card or debit card to sign up for paypal but there'd been bullocks going around. Paypal was conducting random checks on accounts and rendering them limited whenever they find that you don't have enough information so it's better to just apply for a card. You can apply for a debit card if you want.
