Do any of you submit photos to Triond? I'm a photographer, so I do it all the time! Photos don't earn as much as articles do, but I know I can turn out a lot more photos than I can articles! Plus, I just love sharing my photos with other people and getting feedback! Anyway, when I first joined Triond you got to pick what category you put your photo in when you uploaded it. Then awhile back Triond changed it so they pick the category when you upload photos. It's less work for me... but now my photos end up in some of the most bizarre categories! For example, I uploaded a picture of a dog and Triond put it in "Art Animation" And I uploaded a picture of a guinea pig and Triond put it in "World Continents Africa" And I uploaded a picture of a tree and Triond put it in "Food Desserts" while another picture of a tree ended up in "Architecture Bridges" A picture of a car I uploaded got put in "Concepts Illness"! Now, Triond does get it right a lot of the time and most of my photos do end up in the appropriate category... but it can be pretty funny when it's not! So if you're ever browsing Triond photos at Picable.com, check the categories the photos are in! You may get a good laugh! If you upload photos to Triond, do your photos ever end up in strange categories? Or does Triond get it right?

Hi Trickiwoo, Triond staff tend to shift articles into weird categories too. I give up hope on them. My articles about the millionaire mindset ends up in Sport. In the first place, I select the business category, wonder why they go and put it in Sport instead. Another article about Feng shui products end up in Religion. In fact, I select Society and hope they have the common sense to put it under Culture. Then they shift to Religion. Another article about Redgage, a social book marking website, in fact a paid one, ends up in Games. I place it under Internet, since Redgage is a good website to make easy money.

I don't write a lot of articles, and the few that I have written have ended up in the correct categories... so I had no idea Triond also moved articles to weird categories too! That's pretty odd...

Hi Trickiwoo, I write articles mostly and have very few pics in Triond. I think I only have 10 pics. So I may not have noticed their categorization. I wonder if they are doing so to their advantage of sorts. I'm really not sure. Since you are a photographer, why don't you sell your pics instead?

I do sell my pictures! I sell prints and stock photography and the like. But I also make a good income from my photos on Triond as well, so I will continue to post there!

I have no idea about that, but I'm going to look into this to see what categories there are. I guess you can pick the closest category that fits your photos, even if it's not the right one.

They don't let you pick categories any more! You just submit your photos and Triond picks the category themselves! That's how photos end up in the wrong categories!

I'm new to the site so I have no idea how it works. But I submitted some photos yesterday so I'll see what categories they get put into.

Are you a professional photographer? then why not submit your photos where you can earn more money if accepted. Have you heard about sites that accepts still photos and there are lots of genres to choose from on your photos. You can try Shutterstock, Bigstock and Shutterpoint as sites that pays for every pictures downloaded from you. I still believe that there is money in photography if your serious into it.

I am a professional photographer! And I do sell my photos other places. I just also make a good amount of money from submitting my photos to Triond. So I will continue to do so as well. Sites like Shutterstock, Bigstock and Shutterpoint are all stock photography websites. Artistic photography and stock photography are two very different mediums! Since I'm an art photographer, I don't do so well with stock photography. And stock photographers don't do so well doing art photography. I make a lot more money selling art prints of my photographs.

This is the second time I have heard about this website today in two completely different categories. Something i must check out, as I too love writing and photography. Truly a strange cataloging "quirk" they seem to have, but something worth checking out none-the-less.
