It is all about testing. Every team need a plan B or C or even D if they want to go far in any competition. So far England only have plan A and their plan B or C never work. so this is the best time to experimenting this. England need new player in all position and the friendly game is the best way to give the possible next England regular a game and a taste of international football.

Bring them down to earth and let it be known to them that they are not as good as they think they are. While this is harsh, it will have a good long term effect. The day when England knows they are lousy, is the day where they will start to improve.

But I know that these friendly games, which were the last from this year were good for coaches to test young players to see what are they capable of.
