Corruption related scandals are finding its way vigorously to public and political scene. As the economy in several Asian states have opened up in the last couple of decades, corruption has spread its tentacles over all aspects of public life. What are the causes of the rising trend of corruption? Corruption has become the way of life everywhere. Who are responsible?

Powermongers that think they are above the law. Congressmann who sponsor bills because they are told to or because it means money for thier district. The bank in NY that had higher ups commiting fraud and then getting kick backs. People in high positions that think they can get away with murder.

Thanks for nicely responding and sharing your views. Corruption among the people at high positions is fast percolating to the common mass who have also accepted it as a way of life. Have a nice day!!

we all are responsible for corruption because where ever corruption is happening, one authority and person from public is involved so it is not fair saying that govt. officials are corrupt. since we all are responsible so the final responsibility goes to our leaders either political or official. if the boss is honest then most likely subordinates have to be honest else punished.

I agree with your view points. The political leaders who are largely responsible in promoting corruption in the country have been elected by the common mass.It seems that the public at large are also responsible in accepting corruption as a way of life. Thanks for responding.

Hi narayan, I think that there have always been corruption but more people are being caught today, and we hear more about it. I'm sure there have always been a few honest people in government but the corrupt were always there too. Blessings.
