I like to go for a walk with my dog during the evening. During our evening walk, my dog always like to excrete in the front of someone's home. I feel very bad to the home's owners about my dog's excrement. It is a bit sensitive to the Muslims too. They hate dog. I were trying to pull my dog to other places, but not all the time it obeyed my instruction. Does any of your dog has such problem? How is the way to avoid those excrement in the front of someone' home?

Here, it is an offence not to pick up your dog's excrement when you are out walking so responsible dog owners always carry disposable plastic bags and take it home with them. You cannot stop the dog when it needs to go but if you remove it immediately you should not need to feel bad about it.

Yes, I agree with what Wizzywig said is that you can pick up your dog's excrement so that you will not offend any of your Muslim neighbor, that is an good idea, but the problem is, do you willing to do that?

IMO, if someone is not prepared to clean up after their dog, they shouldn't be allowed to have one. Its part and parcel of caring for the pet.

As a considerate citizen as me, I shall obligate to do so. The trash workers always open our trash plastic bags to collect those recycleable materials. Part of the trash workers are the Muslim too. When they found out those excrement in the disposable plastic bags, I am sure be complained again. How am I going to handle this matter, please?

In my country they have laws about this. You have to take along a plastic bag and clean up after your dog. Not all here obey that law but if they get caught they can recieve a fine. I used to live near a school that i had to walk past to get home from city bus stop. Sometimes i would see huge piles by the school. I just think it was too rude especially by a school. Im now living ina trailor park. A few weeks ago some rude neighbor allowed their dog to take a dump right in front of my yard. I told the maintence man about it he cleaned it up and said he might know who did this and would have a talk with them. Right now there a couple piles behind my trailor kind of in between my place and my neighbor. We are both very unhappy about that. My neighbor thinks it may have been the family that just moved away. It was rude enough when it was in the front but nobody has no business going onto the lot of another household.

Two rules of the park are: 1.cleaning up after your pet. 2. No trespassing. Why were they ever on my lot? By my bathroom window? They had no business on my lot to begin with. I would have been retaliating. They already broke 2 of the rules. God knows what else by my bathroom window that i didnt know of. Not having dog i dont feel as if i should clean up dog crap. Especially when they are already knowingly braking rules and laws. Thank god they moved away.

Someone has done wrongly. Shall we be the same to repeat the same mistake? Of course we don't. Let's think about a better way to approach this matter. Will you worry about blaming a wrong person, causing more misunderstanding and involving unnecessary trouble later ? I hope we have a harmony living environment without the conflict just because of our pets. Some cats crawled over my fence and excreted at my yard. I just chased them away. I clean up all of the excrement without making any complaint. I were trying not to extend the problem and involving the unnecessary trouble. The cats' owner for sure will feel bad about it if he or she know about it.

Here in the States dog owners take a "Doggie Doo" bag with them and pick up their dog's poop and dispose of it in the proper manner.

one word over and over. TRAINING. Before you go for a walk, take your dogs favoite toy and toss it un till it gets tired. 99.9 times the dog will go to the bath room after play. Play more, try not to give to much water just a small drink, the dog will go again Then go for a walk. Usually the dog will not have to go again untill u get back to your yard..

When your dog does that, make sure you clean up the mess before you leave. If your dog has this perculiar habit, then avoid going to housing estate when you walk your dog. Try some parks instead.

Well, I don't think you can avoid those excrement because that it was their instinct. When the dogs go to somewhere strange, they excrete to sign that they have go to there. Do you know dogs can't determine us? They just determined us because of our smell.. When you get home, they don't see you but they can smell your smell and run forward to greating you no matter how long we don't see it for a long time.

Yes, I did experience before. I have forgotten to bring my keys along. I climbed over the fence and jumped into the compound of my home. At that time, my dog saw me but it was so fierce because of my strange act. It smelt me first and then only started friendly to me by waiving it's tail. My dog was shocking me for a while.

here in australia, it is an offense to leave your dog's excrement like that without picking it up... you are suppose to bring a plastic bag with you whenever you take your dog out for a walk and clean up the mess... otherwise, you can be fined very heavily here if somebody reported you... may be that's what you should start to be doing from now on... to carry a plastic bag and clean up after your dog's mess whenever you take your dog for a walk... take care and have a nice day...

Maybe you should bring your dog directly to where he can relieve himself before taking him on walks along neighborhoods. And you can always clean up after he does his business if he excretes in front of the neighbors' house.

I am not sure when my dog want to excrete at all. There is no gesture to tell me about it. The habit of dog is excreting wherever it goes. However, I should try to avoid my dog to pass by someone's home. Then there is no excrement in the front of someone's home.

When I walk my dog I carry plastics with me so that I can pick up his excrement. Your dog is marking his territory, which is instinctive, and there is nothing you can do about it, except pick up after him.

Yes, I agree to you. This the instint of the dogs to mark the place wherever they go. That is the way they can recognize the way to return to their home.

I own two dogs because my only daughter's intention. If my daughter is scare of dog as you, then I can save a lot of money and trouble. Dog is a faithful animal. It will be fun to have a dog. But it is a trouble to us too.

I do not own a dog but my neighbors do and they always pick up after their dogs. I would say perhaps walk your dog in park areas and or alley ways this way you avoid them excreting in front of homes. However, if they do you still need to clean up after your pet as homeowners, public people in parks and anyone's alley should not be left with the burden of dog owners pet messes.

You are lucky for not owning a dog. If you do, serving a dog is worse than serving your own baby. ha! ha! ha! I own two dogs just because of my daughter. She likes dogs very much. In fact, the excrement of animals can fertilize the plants. To maintain a hygein living environment, it is an obligation for us to clean our dogs' excrement by palcing in a disposable bag.

I had the same problem with a neighbour. She used to cry at me from her window to get my dog out of her garden, even that it was no garden there and neither the land was hers (it was a public place). But after she saw me that I allways pick up my dog's poo, she has never said anything to me again. But if, in your case, those people own the place where your dog uses to do his duties, I think you should try to avoid walking your dog on that property. Try to change your route for the evening walk, and if an accident happens, make sure you clean the place after your dog. This way you show respect to those people, and they'll see you with another eyes.

Thank you so much for your advise. I think I should be caution of walking at the right track to avoid the complaint of the dogs' excrement. Besides, gloves and plastic bags should be ready to use any time. Dog is a faithful animal to look after our home. I like dog very much. But I am lazy to take care of it. ha! ha! ha! No matter how, I still have to commit myself to take care of it. If not, it will become a stray dog.

It is horrible to carry the excrement along when I suppose to be relax and to wander with my dog. ha! ha! ha! It is worse than taking care of my own baby. Since the first day I own this faithful animal, I shall not let it to be a stray dog. No matter within my home's compound or beyong of my home compound, I clean the excrement daily.

When I bring my dog for a walk at the park, he constantly pees on small trees and plants. About the half the time we're walking he sniffs the grass on neighboring yards. There seems to be less straight walking, as he will sway to the sides at least twice every minute. Its getting to be a big job, because being at the age of five, and weighing 190 pounds, my Labrador's bulky appearance is a lot to take care of.

Yes. It is a trouble to take care of our pet, dog. Since we commited to own a dog, we have to serve it. Dog is a very faithful companion. I hope you don'tmind for me to say that the faithfull of a dog is much more better than the people around me. Let's take care of our dogs well.
