Hey Siliguri,
I agree that to some extent the way things are happening would scare people of muslim community. But then I have a different opinion here - Muslims are humans too and have feelings of pain and other normal things that are so common to all humans. So they are just common people.
Though some people have brought bad name to their community and even I have seen a bloodshed in 1996 - December(Babri Masjid Case). But I have a few muslim friends too and they are quite good and friendly.
Cheers,
theSids.

No, I am not scared of my Muslim community. I have very lovely Muslim neighbors who have been quite welcoming to me and my family without judgment. The fact is what is happening in the middle east is being done by a very small minority and they are not Muslims. Yes, they call themselves Muslims but the majority of Muslim believers do not consider those terrorists to be true Muslims. They are not following the Islamic law. However, media propaganda coverage of the middle east gives a very bias view against all Muslims and paints a very negative picture.
My best advise is to simply get to know people on a case by case merit.

It is unfair to lump terrorists with the muslim community. Yes, they have waged terror on the pretext of Islam but the terrorists is just using that to gain support. While you can say they are rather extreme, there is another religion which I think is equally brutal.
