Do you shop based on style, quality or price?

Certain people buy things based on instinct and would buy anything they like even thought the price is high. Some people look at the price before buying and would not even look at those cloths which are expensive even though they would like to have it. As for me, i would look at the price first before buying the item. Maybe it is because i am not from a rich family that i need to think first before buying. Do you shop based on style, quality or price?

Hi there! Well, my shopping "procedures" tend to flow like this: if I see something that fits my character-whether it's a purse, pair of jeans, or a really nice blouse-I'll approach it and further examine it. I'm actually a tad bit picky when it comes to my preference for fabric. If the item has a fabric I'm not fond of, I discard it right away and keep myself from getting attached to it (a lot of clothes items, I've learned, can look really beautiful, but it doesn't mean much if the fabric is too uncomfortable or restricting or itchy, now does it?). However, if the clothing item of my interest is of the right material, looks nice, and seems like something I could see myself in, I'll look straight to the price tag before getting too excited. Now I don't shop in expensive places, obviously. Target, Ross, or Kohl's seem to suit me just fine. So I never expect a crazy amount of zeros on the tag, but there are times when I come across a certain brand that likes to overprice very simple pieces of clothing, or will make clothes that look expensive, but are poorly sewn together. So, to answer your question, I suppose I shop by all three. Style, quality, and price are three significant factors when it comes to my shopping.

I have to say I completely agree with you on the fabric issue! The fabric is really important to me too!

What matters more than the comfort when wearing clothing :D I agree that fabric is very important indeed. I do see people struggle to wear something that looks nice but is not comfortable, i pity them to make such a decision :p

Hi asxenon! Basically for me, I shop or buy clothes depending on the style or shall I say, depending with my type. Even if it is so cheap or perhaps expensive, I still buy it as long as it is what I want and would look good on me. There are cheap clothes that I still buy because I like the color or like the print on it. There are expensive clothes that I still buy even with a tight budget since it's really the popular style today. Cheers! :-)

It's good to go for style. Sometimes, i think people do reward themselves for all the hard word they did :p Cheers!

Hi. asxenon. I know that price would be the first main factor, the style and the quality will come in next. I also will make sure that the quality of the clothing is worth the money that I am paying for it for. If not, I will not buy it, no matter how stylish that it looks. Money does not grow on trees around my neck of the woods, so I always want to make sure that I choose something that is worth the price that I am paying for.

I believe that it is really important to buy what we think is worth for our money. As long as you have the budget and the price suits your budget, it is worth considering :p Just make sure we don't span more than what we can afford. Have a good day!

i consider all three. but for me the most important aspect is the quality. for the past many years i've bought almost exclusively only branded products because they assure me of the quality. yeah they are higher in price but they pay off in the longer run. besides, i'm not good at all in bargaining so buying branded products is an advantage. style does matter too because i wouldn't buy something that don't appeal to me.

Yes, I agree that quality is always worth it in the end. It took me a lot of years to really understand this and learn to live like that, but now I would never go back. Going for quality products costs you more when you get them, but you do not need to replace them as often, which makes it worth it anyway.

There is nothing that makes me more satisfied than living on luxury items. This is true for the bed and comforts I use to sleep. The price matters a lot, and I'm not looking for a coupon or deal bargain. I pay high premium prices to get my sleeping aid materials and there is no looking back for me. Buying such great and useful items means a whole lot for me. I have about a million dollars in income each year, and I hope to buy 100,000 pairs of luxury comforters costing 500 dollars each for the poor in India and China.

For me I shop on all three....style, quality and price. Clothes for instance you can get some good deals. There are more and more low end stores offering very trendy clothes with decent to average quality at great prices. Some places I like are Hollister, H & M, American Eagle and Old Navy. For other things I try to get the best price for the quality. I try to stick to my budget. But if there's something I really like I will buy it no matter what as long as it isn't too outlandish.

I have very strict rules about buying things. First, I have to make sure what I am going to buy is absolutely necessary in my daily life. If it is just for one occasion impulse, then forget it. However, after a careful consideration I realise something is necessary for me to carry on my life, I will then start looking around for best deal. For one time use item, I go for cheapest choice; for long use devices or clothes, I will judge between quality and price. Style or brand name usually come last since they don't have any practical use to me. The result is, under my strict shopping rule I rarely spend money when I go shopping.

Well when I shop I always look at the style first to see if I like then I look at the price and if it's to high than I put it back and I look for something cheaper, but is also cute. True some people love to buy expensive clothes, but I love to shop for cute clothes that are cheap and I just love to bargain hunt or to look for clothes on clearance. Just the other day I bought a blue dress with a black belt for only six dollars and that was a good deal right there so I got it and bought it and I love it. Shopping is always so much fun oh and I can't wait for black Friday so that I could get things for cheap it's going to be so much fun. I always go to Wal-mart on black Friday because the electronics are always at a good price, but what's dangerous is how the place gets packed with lots of people. Well happy shopping everybody.

Style and especially quality is the most important factor for me. I will not buy something I don't think is stylish or well made, no matter how little it costs. But that said, I do like to get a good deal too, so I also look at the price. I do think it is possible to get all three though, really nice and well made things for a good price. There are many tricks to do this, you just need to learn them!

I shop based on a balance of all these - style, quality, and price. I try to be a practical shopper because I have limited budget. I am not brand conscious at all. Thus, I look at the clothes if it fits my taste and personal style. I check for quality - durability, texture of cloth, execution of prints or design. Then, I look at the price - can I afford it? I want these criteria to be balanced and present whenever I make a purchase.

Hi asxenon. Personally, I buy things based on those three criteria you have mentioned, style, quality, and price. Nowadays, there are lots of stores or brands that offers products with good quality and style in a budget-friendly price. I think we just have to be patient and wise buyers to be able to search for great finds. I plan how much money I'll bring so that I won't be spending too much, I won't be tempted to buy things that are too pricey for me or those that I really don't need at that time. I have branded and unbranded things, I really don't care much about it. As long as I like a product like clothes, shoes, etc. and they are under those three criteria, I'd go for it. I save up for those branded things I like. I can control my desires, I can wait and save up first for these kinds of items. We don't need to sacrifice style and quality against cheaper prices, we can have all of these three. We have lots of choices available in the market today. =)

I came from a family who can be very thrifty at times and I learned from my mom and dad that quality and affordability is what always counts. Growing up, I learned from experience that it's never the style or the trend that matters, it's always comfort (shoes for example) and the quality, by checking the item to make sure it is durable and will last. That goes for the clothing, gadgets and household items as well. I only bought those well-known brands if I have good feedbacks from my friends.

I don't usually shop. I only go to buy some things when I really need them. I also think about the price first. I think it's very important because we need to manage our money carefully for living.

i shop based on style and price. im really not looking at the quality when it comes to clothes because they are really not good investment. i look for quality shoes and bags because it can last a long time. at first i pick clothes that i like then look at price. if its expensive enough i wont buy it. but if i really like it so much, i would save up money just to buy it
