I just finished putting up my outside Christmas decorations. We have had wonderful weather all along but there is a big storm brewing and moving in from the west so tonight it's supposed to be freezing rain etc. I thought I would get it done before the weather turns and gets way to cold out! Do you put up outside decorations? Have you gotten them up yet? Do you think that I am rushing into Christmas too early?

I think u are very smart to do that, Jill even if i do think it's early. Don't blame u for wanting to beat the bad weather. I don't put up anything anymore, inside or out.One of my friends calls me scrooge every year. She's smart like u & puts up a bunch.

Never too early to put up outside decorations. We have to take advantage of the warmer weather and get it done will the gettin' is good! I have seen a couple of homes in our area that never took down the Christmas lights from last year. It looks a little strange in the summertime but they were smaller lights and didn't cause too much distraction. Glad you are finished putting the outside decorations up so you can have a chance to really enjoy them. Happy Thanksgiving, Jill.

I think everyone should put up their Christmas decorations when they want to, so go to it! I can't really put up decorations outside because I'm in an apartment. But I've seen people in my neighborhood, and people in my parent's neighborhood already have their lights and lawn decorations up for Christmas.

We usually put ours up after Thanksgiving. No I don't think you are rushing. To each there own I say. Retailers however who start with the Christmas decorations shortly after the start of school in late August..they are definitely rushing things!

I celebrated Christmas once, when I was there with my Christian friends. I like the way they make the Christmas tree and then dance around it. It was very enjoyable. I wish you happy Christmas in advance and hope that your Christmas tree will be as beautiful as it is in my imagination. :)
Thank you.

I don't think we'll put up outside decorations this year. We didn't last year. We don't take a lot of pride in our current home so we don't do much to make it look nicer.
I have seen a few houses with some decorations up already, so I guess you're not rushing it that much!

You are so early. I do not put mine up until the end of the second week in December or the third week if I am busy. But hen the weather is warm so no rush. Well done

No, it's not too early to put up decorations.....do it while it's warm...so you won't freeze your fingers. I bet it will be very pretty. I do not have my decorations up yet....my bad.

Hiya jill,
No I don´t think you are rushing into things. After all if you have so many things to attend to it´s better to do those outside things now before it gets too bad in the sense of the Weather. Looks like it will be a cold one this time too.
Do you put up lots of lights? Do you put them in the Trees then and around the outside of the House?.
I bet it looks smashing too would love to see it.

The one thing about Christmas I am very jealous of is: When you have the money to have a new house built you can get the "Christmas package"! You choose the lighting you want permanently installed on it. Then the only thing you have to do is go to the circuit breaker and turn it on! Yes they stay on the house all year round and are invisible when they are off. We went shopping for replacement lights last night. Yes, we are "Fleet Farm" decorators.

You are way ahead of me, as I've only finished blowing the leaves away from the small plants, bushes and my whole front yard. In fact, there had been many leaves falling for a while, and I've had to blow it away 8 times. Since my backyard is more than four times bigger than the front, lots of work had went into the back yard. Today marked the first day of blowing away the leaves in my front yard. I believe that I'll catch up-to you by November 31st. Its seems so surreal that we've got to share so much from different places. Hope you enjoy Christmas!
