My cousin went to the auction house the other day. I tag along with him to see how the process goes. It was in the storage location, where people doesn't have money afford their mortgage, they had to move out, and store their house furnitures and miscellaneous stuff on these storage. When they no longer have money pay for the storage monthly fee, the administrator has to auction their stuff to repay the due bills. So, that is where this auction comes in. Everything is ultra cheap, and you have to take them all, no matter you want them or not. My cousin bid a couple of these storage rooms, and he won a couple of them. From what I see, there is more junk than the actual valuable stuff in those places. Have you ever been to those auction houses to buy those ultra cheap stuff?

I have never been to them, but there is a show on TV called auction hunters that is similar to this process. They go to storage units and buy all of the stuff that is in them. Occasionally, they get lucky and find items that were valuable that people didn't know were in the storage units, and they resell them for profits. It's an easy way to make money, but there are definitely easier ways to make money than buying and reselling items.

I would go if I had the money and I knew there was going to be something worth buying in my opinion. I have only been to a car auction once with my uncle, but we were not there to buy. Hews auctioning off a Monte Carlo with swivle bucket seat. It was a NICE car. I do like to watch the auctions on tv, even that pawn shop show Pawn stars is pretty cool. Makes me want to go out and find neat treasures that others thought were junk.

From what I see, the stuff within that storage is super cheap. The catch is, you have to find somebody to move all that stuff for you too. Some old furnitures are very heavy, and you can't lift them up. You must hire those people.

i never been to such an auction house before... and i think this is the first time i had ever heard about it as well... interesting... i might go if there is one near my house just for curiosity and i might buy something if i really need the items... i don't want to collect junks inside my house... so even though the items are cheap, if i don't need them, i won't buy them... it is a waste of money which i can't afford at this recession time... take care and have a nice day...

These are items that are up for sale again. Whether or not you buy them doesn't change that. If my not buying them would somehow prevent these people from loosing their stuff, then maybe I'd feel guilty about it, but they have lost them already. That's a fact, and they aren't getting them back. They are just items for sale, and at a good deal.

Hi, I haven't been to an auction house before but it does sounds tempting. If given the opportunity, I think I would buy. Currently, I am already sweeping out stuffs on the internet (brand new or pre-owned) as long as they are value for money. But as compared to having the chance of viewing the item before purchasing, I have to think twice and do some information searching before buying. And there are times where I get lousy/damage goods. Thus, unless I have good use of those items, else I won't really buy them.

I'd love to go to such an auction, but even better I'd love to start my own little auction, money money money ,I'll just sell my useless stuff i have staked real cheap and make a fortune in no time....or...even better buy things real cheap modify them a little and sell them at a little higher price, but that's easier said then done.......so I'll dream on...

Yes, I have never done it, so I would like to do it just to have tried it. Auctions are not very common where I live, unfortunately. So I do not know if I will ever have the chance to!
