Just beware of the third party apps you allow to access you FB profile, I realised that I was a victim recently after a certain application started updating my status with funny links without my knowledge!

Yes, I have read somewhere on the internet that anyone can create his or her own facebook application and they also showed you how and gave you the tools, now imagine the millions of hackers, spammers etc... out there who are also able to create these applications.

Yeah. I think you are completely right. This will happen soon, I guess. Since facebook is very popular.

It's time the facebook admin probe into such applications and limit the freedom to create apps.

I able to read such things already but even before this thing came out I really hate to add apps in my facebook, popular apps/games, yes. Before you accept such applications they are also saying that if you accept it you are going to give them your profile info. Being vigilant and using the privacy setting wisely is a big help.

That's right, we ought to be vigilant at all times.

I just had to delete an app, as it had a problem. Now I will be watching a lot closer when adding anything. Thanks for the warning.

I did not know how to remove the app in question and this compelled me to deactivate my account.

Thanks for the warning! My free time is so limited that I can't spend as much as I want in myLot and Facebook is less important for me. I made an account because I was invited and I seldom login, to say nothing of using apps. But young people live in FB, my daughter says that it is a must. It's a shame that they let it became an unsafe place.

It's high time they resolve these security issues before more people get victimized.
