I love tea tree oil, it's a very versatile product, and I'm a customer of Melaleuca, which is a company that uses the oil in their products. But a warning, the oil should not be used undiluted on children 12 years and younger, and if you yourself experience a rash, try diluting the oil, then. It is very potent stuff. Generally speaking, products with the oil in it 1% or less is very safe. The oil is also toxic if ingested in its pure form, so please don't use it in your drinks. That's all the warnings I've come across, and I myself haven't run into any problems with it. It's just that it has risen in popularity, along with other essential oils, and as a result, some people can get over-zealous with it. It's always wise to do your research first and use the oils as directed. Have a safe journey in learning Mother Nature's secrets!

I love tea tree oil, too. I usually put it on cuts and scrapes after I've cleaned them. It really takes the swelling down and helps them heal faster. I think people should be careful when using any new product, especially with children. People can be allergic to just about anything. I haven't had any problems with it either. I never dilute it, but I only use a tiny bit and have never used it in drinks.
