How do you know, he likes you?

Hello mylotters,
It's almost Christmas and I don't have any boyfriend to share it with. But I have this guy friend I keep on chatting with. We are friends too in the offline world. But since we are both busy, we just communicate online. He kinda gives me hints that he is into me. I don't know if it's right to ask him about it. It's still 2 months that I became single again and it's cool that he still didn't ask me to be his girl. But I am scared if he does.
I don't know if those were the signs that he likes me. Maybe it's all in my head. I don't know much about guys actually. Guys and gals out there, mind helping me out?

I am single for Christmas too so I know how you feel. I actually also have a guy friend (who is currently studying abroad) but we talk on Skype, and sometimes I wonder if he has feelings for me.. as more than a friend. But he's shy and doesn't let on to it, if he does. I try not to over-analyze, because as I'm sure you've figured out, over-analyzing online talk is totally difficult - if not impossible! You can't tell their tone of voice, you can't tell if they are being sarcastic, friendly, or totally serious..It's so hard! So I know how you feel. I think you both should plan an in-person hang-out session, something fun - just to see him in person and see if he acts any differently. Plus it might help you decide for yourself if he truly likes you in that way (and it might make him decide for himself whether or not he wants to pursue you or continue to be your friend). Hmm.. just a thought! It's a tricky situation to be in, so I can understand where your confusion comes from.Good luck!

Hey maezee,
I read this quote from a site: Have you ever wondered which hurts the most: saying something and wishing you had not, or saying nothing, and wishing you had?
Sometimes I want to ask him. But I'm scared of the answer. He wants to meet me after his class is over for the holidays. It's sweet of him to force me to give him a gift. I know he wants to see me. It makes me smile so much. It really is tricky. He gives me hints even though I didn't ask. Then I try to divert the topic. LOL
