What operating system do you use? Well I've used XP home and Pro for a long time and some people would swear this is the best, lately I changed to Windows 7 and found it a little bit better, what about you? What do you think?

hi, I am still continuing with my windows XP Pro. I have not yet changed to Windows 7. I had a look of Windows 7 at my cousin's place. I found it good but still I am so used to XP, so it should take some time for me to change form XP to Windows 7. Recently I heard a news about XP. From 2014 Microsoft will no more support XP that means no updates. I thought 2014 is a long way to go, in the mean time I think we all will shift Windows 7. Happy browsing Calpro

hi,I hope you can get an upgrade soon, having a system that is no longer supported can be risky. Yes money is the problem and your idea of getting one that you can register is a good one, yes buy only original, guess that's how good old Bill and his Microsoft boys conduct their business

I did use Windows Xp Professional, Windows 7 and Windows Vista Ultimate. I have used the home edition of Windows Xp and Vista and did not like them because some of the features were disabled in those OS. I am presently using Windows 7 and Windows Xp and both are cool and have their own plus points. On my Laptop using Windows Vista Ultimate. Vista is slow compared to these two in my view. I cannot remove Vista because company has given it with the Laptop.

Hi louievill, I personally use XP at home because i've never wanted to get a new OS. ever since people said vista is very bad, i've always relied on XP. I mean XP is so stable and reliable and it has been a classic over the years. I fear that i might be a little outdated without windows 7, but it's okay. I love the classic touch of XP. I always used that since i was a child and probably will always use that forever :D. But my little bro recently got a new laptop with windows 7 on it and i think windows 7 is kinds good, But i'm sticking with XP for now :)

I would recommend you to use Windows XP rather than to use Windows 7 because of many security reasons. Windows XP is user friendly OS which has almost most common security control as built in Windows 7. Also i would recommend you to use Windows XP for the below stated reason. 1) Security- Windows XP has a high level of protection from defective software and malicious attacks. 2) Reliability- Windows XP is the most reliable and stable OS. 3) Compatibility- Windows XP has introduced a new compatibility layer that falls between application and the Win.32 APIs. 4) Performance- Windows XP has a very high performance on desktop systems, which are largely constrained by I/O performance, Server systems (where CPU is often the bottleneck), and large multi threaded and multi processor environments (where locking and cache line management are key to scalability). 5) Extensibility- Windows XP has the capacity to keep up with advances in computing technologies. 6) Portability- Windows XP has the capability to be moved from one hardware architecture to another with relatively small changes. 7) International support- Windows XP is designed for international and multinational use. It provides us support for different locales via the national language support (NLS) API. Hope it will helps. Bye and have a good day!!

Windows XP is outdated, and support will stop for it. The only choice in my opinion is to upgrade. I use a mac myself, but also have a Windows 7 laptop that I use occasionally. Windows Vista was the loosing system, and 7 is what Vista should have been. I find 7 to be quick, responsive, and just as good if not better than XP.

Yes I agree with everything you said, guess the only down side of an upgrade would be sytems requirements like a bigger memory ... etc . Yes Vista was the worst , never thought I could get the hang out of the XP experience, but once you try and learn Windows 7 , you would love it as well

Well, Windows 7 is good because it is a fusion of Windows XP and Windows Vista. It got its speed and efficiency from Windows XP and the beautiful design from Vista.

Many of them says Windows 7 is good. I couldn't agree more.
