Childhood and adulthood

At the moment we have a lot of snow in Denmark. It is beautiful when everything is covered by snow, but it also means a lot of extra work. We have to remove snow from the sidewalk in front of the house and from the sidewalk to the mailbox so that the postman can get there safely. We have to get up early in order to remove snow and ice from the car and we can only drive and walk slowly, because of the slippery streets and sidewalks. Sometimes we have change our plans because driving is too difficult or too dangerous.
When I was a child loved the snow, and I was exicted when it was snowing because we were able to build snowmen, have snowball fight etc. My brother and I had a lot of fun playing in the snow. As an adult I don't feel the same excitement, because the snows means work and responsibilities than I didn't have as a child.
Which things did you love as a child and dislike as an adult? Which things from you childhood do you still enjoy today?

As a child we had to shovel the snow so being an adult I approach the shoveling in the same manner..lol
I still build a snowman for the front yard. We still go and lay in the snow to make snow angels.. I feel that we need to enjoy life as well as the responsibility. We can do both as an adult, it is a choice.
My daughter that I am staying with, we still go out in the rain and have fun. Stomp in puddles to just enjoy the time together.
We all can allow the child in us to come out if we choose to..

I like your attitude and your thoughts about childhood/adulthood 
I have lost my interest in snowmen, snowball fights and those things, but maybe it would be different if I had children. I used to work in a kindergarden I loved watching the children when they were playing in the puddles, they had so much fun. I miss working at a place like that 
By the way what is snow angels? I have never heard about that before.

Snow angels are when you lay flat on your back in the snow, then move your arms up and down in the snow as well as the legs back and forth in the snow. Get up and look down, you will see you just made an angel in the snow :)
You in my opinion can still bring out the child in you. You don't need to have children to do so. When it rains here I will go out by myself and enjoy the rain, walk around, walk through a puddle etc. Being able to just let go to enjoy life is a choice each of us have within our own soul.

During our child hood and especially during festivals we use to wear new clothers and waiting for sweets and special foods what Mom use to prepare and serve. We use to wait for festivals but now since we have to cook, I dont enjoy festivals any more. There is nothing special which I enjoy from childhoold till date to mention.

Yes, as adults we have responsibilities that we didn't have as a child, and sometimes that changes the experiences. I feel the same way about the snow. When I was a child snow was fun, it was a chance to play, build snowmen etc, and I didn't have any responsilities. Now I am an adult and I have to remove the snow every day and things like that. It is not a big problem, but it is different from just playing in the snow...

I like winter season so much, we dont have snow in our areas in winter. I like rains in winter also since my childhood. The same point you shared here that now we have so many responsibilities as well. I like to walk in winter rains alone they make me a little sad and i like it.

Hi,
CHristmas is coming and so good that your country is snowing now.
How I wish I can play with snow during this time,but too bad my
country is pretty hot and I am not living in those 4 season country.
I do believe the snowing scene must be very nice.
Playing with snow and making snowman will be fun activity for kid and
adult.
Talking about childhood, I really miss alot. I have so much fun during
my childhood. I played with my brothers and sisters,although we have few years age
gap,but we did enjoy playing together.
Now, we have grown up and have own family. We won't be back to our
childhood life anymore,that was the past.
We have enter parenthood and have responsibility for our own family.
But we always enjoy having gathering together with our families.
We are having fun ...dinner and chit chat-ing....not to forget,snapping
some pictures for memories.

Yes, we might get a white christmas this year, it look that way at the moment. I also spent a lot of time with my brother when we were children, we played together and did a lot of things together. There is an age gap between us but we still had fun together. I sometimes miss those days. I am married now and my brother and his girlfriend live in another part of the country so we can't meet that often. Your family gatherings sound fun. It is nice to be together, chatting and taking pictures

Hi Porcospino!.
I don't know if snow can cause thats many trouble. As matter of fact I am little envy to people had 4 season, as people who live in tropical area its will be impossible to see white Christmas at home. Someday I wanna touch snow with my bare hand.
Because we don't have snow here, i particularly don't have problem with snow. My problem is sometimes its rainy hard or the weather to hot.

I think that worst part about snow is the car accidents and the dangerous situations that is sometimes causes. Sometimes when there is a lot of snow the car can get stuck, and if we have to wait for help for many hours it is important to bring blankets and something to drink. The snow can cause problems, but it is also very beautiful when the trees and everything else is covered by snow. I hope that you will get the chance to see snow one day.

We are the same there. In my childhood days, my mother would get angry when I won't sleep in the early afternoon. It's necessary so that I would grow faster, according to her.LOL! But now that I started working, a nap is one of my luxuries that I would like to have everyday, too bad I couldn't.:(

Hi there my friend! I would love to experience snow because I've never seen it my whole life.
To answer your question, when I was a child, I totally love to eat seaweeds and boiled fish's eyes. Now, I don't like to eat them because of the slimy texture and they don't taste delicious anymore. I wonder why I loved them as a child.
