I had this talk with my daughter about people with negative attitude and outlook in life generally. And one observation my daughter said was that positive people exudes a different kind of aura that manifests in their physical appearance while negative people acquire wrinkles early and look older than their age. Do you agree with her observations?

Yes, I do think there is some truth to that actually. Another reason to be positive, I guess! (like we need one!)

Hi puccagirl. True, with so much negative vibes around, we do need positive attitude to get us through. Thanks for your response.

Oh! I better think positive often so that wrinkles won't invade my forehead. Yeah, I have a sister who is quite serious in life. Although she's not that negative but she rarely smiles. I am older than her and we're opposite they say. They don't see her smile while I smile a lot. She's not approachable while I am friendlier than her. Thus, most often she is mistaken as my older sister. But mind you, she's not a negative person because financially she's more successful than I am and had most of her dreams come true. It's just she's so serious in life.

Hi! I have also observed this that those people who are prone or easy to laugh age slower than those who are serious and rarely smile. But smiling has its advantages../makes life lighter. Thanks for your response.

Hello, figurativeme. Once, my teacher said "You are what you think". And yes, I have to agree with that. Not because of some aura or some kind of energy, I really do not believe much in that. My explanation is simple: a positive person will walk with confidence, have her head up, feel free to talk about herself, have no fear in exposing herself to others. A negative person, by the other hand, will walk slowly, with less strength, head down, like if he was dragging himself. So, from that point, it will make differences in your body. A positive person will be more erect, less proper to have columns diseases; will have his immune system stronger; won't feel pressured by keeping things inside him. The negative person may have problems in practicing sports or showing strength, will get weaker. I don't know about the wrinkles, but I'm sure that many signals will reveal that the person is completely negative/positive. Respectfully, Munhozmib.

I don´t know about the quantity of the wrinkles, but I´m sure the wrinkles are different. The skin stretches in a different way when you smaile than when you yell, cry or sulk. That´s why it is so important, when one talks to someone, to see their face. There is a body language. Maybe that is part of what is called an aura. As for me, I have been with a couple of persons that I cannot bear near me. There is a chemical (or electrical) discharge that is opposed to mine. Is that part of an aura? I don´t know. I am positive most of the time. But sometimes life hurts me and I have negative thoughts. I wonder if there is a person that is always positive.

I am also a positive person but I do get negative thoughts when someone hurts me bad. So bad that the negative thought stays with me for nights. You have a point, i think, on the different stretching of skin depending on the emotions which alerts you if you are sensitive enough. Thanks for your response.

Hi figurativeme! I believe so. Your daughter is a good observer and has made some good observation. Having acquired such knowledge I think she would grow up with a positive outlook. You are blessed with such a daughter.

Yes, my observation tells me that too...I have two maiden aunts, who are so opposite to each other except for the fact that they have somewhat similar features...and for a long time I thought mama nene (my strict aunt) was older than my mama diding (the worlds coolest and nicest aunt), because she actually did! Now, my mama diding who is in her early fifties(who had already experienced a stroke, but thank God survived) still look forty and my other aunt looks fifty already...

Yes, we could really compare two attitudes and its effects and come to that conclusion particularly if we know of two opposite characters. Thanks for your response marapplestiffy.

hi figurativewme. your daughter is really smart and I think I do agree as negative p eople that I have met go around with a sour look on their faces like they had drank pure lemon juice.Scowling and sour looks makes for wrinkles and the negativity makes people age faster as they seem tol have given up on happiness in their lives. Positive people live longer and more happily as they have a sunny outlook on life. that makes them smile and radiate happiness that touches other people.Positive p eople really do succeed better than those who are always negative and refuse to let in any happiness at all.

I do believe this. Positive people surround themselves with that energy. This is very evident in the look of our Saints. If you look at their faces in times of prayer or meditation you will see the beauty shining through.

Yes. They have that look of serenity and draws one to them, even just by looking at their pictures. Thanks for your response.

I agree with her perfectly. People who constantly worry and have a pessimist outlook tend to age faster that the optimists. Of course it's perfectly normal to worry at time but there's more to life than spending it worrying what will happen next and what. We will all die eventually and we only have one shot at life, if someone would choose to spend it worrying then pity to that person.

I do agree. Negative people grow old fast with wrinkles and all because they always frown and are very problematic looking. They look stressed out and haggard all the time. People with positive outlook in life always smile and if they get wrinkles it's the laugh lines and not the frown lines.

I think that there are alot of people that are negative, as that is all they have been bought up to know, where as there are people like my friend that always stay on the positive side and always looks at life in the same way no matter what is going on in her life.

Hello, figurative me. :D Yes, I agree with your daughter's observation. I think the real secret of positive people is that they tend to handle their problems better than negative people. They feel sadness for awhile but then they realize that sometimes life is just hard and they move on with their lives and hope for better days. Because of that, their physical appearance reflects their positive disposition.

Figurativeme, I definitely agree. I believe that they've actually done studies on this kind of thing, and have found evidence that when people have a negative outlook on life, they age quickly. My grandma always tells me that I should be happier in life. She tells me that happy people have a peculiar glow that makes them beautiful. She's continuously telling me and my sister that, and it has been implanted in our brains. Whenever we are upset, we try to cheer ourselves up. I've met many grumpy people, and they are always the ones that look miserable and older. A positive outlook on life brings about a better life mentally and physically, which is what everyone should strive for. Everyone who reads this should take a minute to sit back, relax, and enjoy the pleasures of life for a minute, because it won't last forever. Annie

As for my observation, yes people with negative outlook in life really has the tendency to look older than their real age. I think this is because they feel more stressed and everyday is a burden for them. They don't have any happy moments, more on the sad moments for them.
