I know that we are allowed to use emoticons when our ratings have reached 200 and allowed to cut and paste once we reach 500. What I would like to know however from anyone who has been in myLot long enough is what other mylot functions are we able to unlock and what rating are required for these functions?

When we reach 100 we can rate other users' posts. When we reach 500 we can add images to responses and comments. Until then we can only add them when we start a topic.

Nope. This was altered last year by myLot. It is to stop abuse of the rating system. Once we reach 100 we can rate each user for a total of 11 times a day. If we rate before we reach 100 and if we rate a user more than 11 times, those ratings will not 'stick'. If you refresh the page you will see that the + or - is still there.

So, a user with a rating lower than 100 can't rate other users' activity? I thought that each user can rate any activity here, or else, why do they see the + and the - ? I remember I was confused by those two signs from my first day here, because I didn't know what to do with them. But I soon found out what's their use and I started to use them.

Well, it's never too late to learn, is it? So, the magic number 11 refers to the ratings for one particular user, or it is the maximum number of pluses and minuses one can hit in a day? Is there any specification about this in the FAQs? I haven't found it until now.

You can also start uploading photos into your comments once you've reached 500 posts. I was so excited to reach the rating of 500, in order to be able to post photos into my comments. Then I didn't find this opportunity so interesting any more. But the copy-paste feature is really useful, especially when you need to perform the spell check of your posts. (I don't know if you need this, but I admit I need to do this)

I think that when I get to 500 hundred I would use spellcheck as well. Easier to type long responses, comments and discussions in word/pages before posting it online. O didn't know that pictures were part of the 500 function. Thanks! I hope I reach the magic number soon!

I'm using safari and it has one built in, I turn it off once I'm writing in a different language as everything turns red! But sometimes forget to turn it off *smile*
