I have a friend who has keloid scars all over her legs and feet. She suffered from burn because of hot water poured on her legs and feet. Her keloid is very itchy and was not able to sleep well at night. She can't wear skirts because of the keloid scars on her legs and feet. She tried using contractubex for a year and it's not effective. What foods must be eaten to expedite the healing of her keloid scars? What medicine is effective in removing keloid scars?

Plantar keloid formation - This is a young male with bilateral keloid formation on the plantar surfaces of both feet. He has never been treated for this condition. There are other much smaller keloids located at small inlets on the glabrous (hairless) skin.
There are several treatment for removal of Keloid scars, which include • lntra-lesional corticosteroids — which is first-line therapy for most keloids. • Excision — Scalpel excision may be indicated if injection therapy alone is unsuccessful or unlikely to result in significant improvement. • Silicone gel sheeting — Silicone gel sheeting sheeting has been used for the treatment of symptoms (eg, pain and itching) in patients with established keloids as well as for the management of evolving keloids and the prevention of keloids at the sites of new injuries. • Cryosurgery — Cryosurgery is most useful in combination with other treatments for keloids. • Radiation therapy —Radiation therapy to be highly effective in reducing keloid recurrence, with improvement rates of 70 to 90 percent when administered after surgical excision. • Interferon alfa — Interferon alfa injections may reduce recurrence rates postoperatively. • Pulsed dye laser — Pulsed dye laser treatment can be beneficial for keloids, and appears to induce keloid regression through suppression of keloid fibroblast proliferation, and induction of apoptosis and enzyme activity.
