I have thought a lot of things about starting a cool business that would easily catch attention from consumers. One thing to remember of course is make it affordable to them... Yummy and affordable! :D I have thought of a shake business. Do you think it's a good start? I need some ideas here! (:

Shakes is a good idea, but I think it is seasonal kind of business. You would gain alot during summer time but during the winter or rainy seasons few will buy on the business. I suggest though that you might add something like hot coffee or something like that. I had this favorite shake store that I get often because the quality of their product really is so great, since they have all sort of flavor to choose from. Plus the ice they put on are not the typical crystal transparent ice, they had a special ice which is like ice cream that they specially made making the shakes more delicious. Anyway, shakes are good but it is more profitable on hot summer days.

In hot countries like the Philippines, even if it is not summer, shakes are a good product to sell. People here love everything with ice, especially if it tastes good.

Nice idea. Here in Euroland it isn't possible. Too many regulations! I haven't seen a shake in years. Probably couldn't afford one either if they did exist. We tax all the best things into obscurity.

Depends on how you'll market it. If you go to a workplace and sell them, there is something there. If you go and get a building, that's where your business plan comes in; If you truly want, get Entreprenuer magazine. they also have manuals you can get for the business you want to start.

I would say it depends on where you live. Where I live, there are tons of businesses like that, and they seem to do pretty okay (at least most of them) but it is very competetive here. I think it is easier to do well if you do not have too many businesses like that where you live already. Also, like someone already pointed out, keep in mind that it is a very, very seasonal business. But that can be both good (you might not have to work all year round!) and bad (you might be very stressed about making enough money when you do work).

If you're thinking of putting up a Shakes sort of business. I suggest you make it edgy and different from the other shakes around. It should be healthy as well as delicious. Most shakes offer only sweets and high-caloric contents. Yours should be one that contains nutrients and taste. Anyway, all businesses are hard at first. Just put your mind to it and you'll succeed for sure! Good luck!

Shakes is a good idea, everyone loves them and you can not only make the typical type shake but you could really mix it up and go wild plus do health shakes aswell so that you cater for everyone
