It is difficult to change a persons routine. Thing is you need to stick with it, go and get rest earlier in the evening so when you do get up, you have had enough rest. It is just your body reacting to its old routine. Get up and walk around, give your system a jump start. Eat a bit of breakfast as you sit to read after waking and walking around. Biggest thing is breaking old routines, keep at it and soon you will find it becomes the new routine.

I'm sure you need enough sleep as well. Have a relook at your days's schedule or make a new one if necessary where you can wake up early in the morning to do your reading. The first few times should be difficult but you should press on and make it work for you. It should. Good luck slimshadydoc.

COFFEE!!!! That's what I do! Actually when I first started getting up to read early in the morning before the day gets started real steady I had a terrible time. But I kept working at it until it's just the way it is in my house now! lol! Every once in awhile I do have trouble staying awake. But usually only after I didn't sleep at all the night before!

Hello, It's all about habit. The best way is to do some exercise or take a walk, even if that take some time. Doing light exercise in the early morning not only makes you active physically but also keeps your mind alert and complacent for the rest of the day. If you don't have addiction to coffee, you should not start drinking it just to drive away the drowsy feelings. Just do some exercise, yoga instead. If you stay awake late night or get trouble sleeping then you should read http://www.bukisa.com/articles/375418_how-to-go-to-sleep-when-youre-insomniac which describes every little thing that is conducive to sound sleep. Give up the habit of staying awake late. You should also understand that it's the quality of sleep that is more important than quantity. Thanks. God bless you.
