Having happy employees that get along is great. As long as you get your jobs done I see nothing wrong with laughing and having a good time. Actually, being happy can also increase production. Positive vibes is a good thing. Could it be the boss is jealous because he doesn't feel included in the laughter?

What a grumpy boring boss! What is wrong with having a laugh at work? It’s difficult enough being there some days; if you can’t share a joke you will end up depressed! I too hope your boss pays you although he sends you home sometimes! Having good work mates can make the world of difference in a job. When I worked in the bank I was sent to the busiest branch in the state and the pressure was huge but the people I worked with were so much fun that we used to get together at weekends as well. I don’t think I would have coped with the stress if it wasn’t for my great workmates. Your boss needs to lighten up!
