Hello Lotters, * I am not here to bash any form of religion what so ever, Just curious so please don't bash me* In the old times we used to think that almost every thing is almost done by God. so dependent on the Lord that we even "blame" him to all of our problems, and lent him our wishes. sometimes, i wonder why can we just make our own destiny. even if we have principles from our religion, can we just stop at least for once, being preachy that's why i probably avoid Bible readings. I don't want to end up too literal. Back to my discussion. regarding the topic itself, what if Mutation started happening, like the X-men movies where humans started having super powers. do you think religious people would come up and call them demons or blasphemies? You don't have to go deep in sharing you're opinions. If there's one thing i want to avoid here is Debate...that turns ugly.

Hi sweetie. I don't like to talk about religion at all. I believe everyone for him or herself and that's the end of it. I don't like those readings any way. Now back to your discussion. In the olden days they killed such babies when born. I am sure if the human rights organization didn't exist in today's life, they would still be doing it, though. You and your imagination. TATA.

Hi LetranKnight, I feel that we don't need organized religion but I don't want to bash anyone who thinks otherwise. Religion in my opinion has hindered human evolution and we could manage quite well without it. I am not an atheist but feel that that we are here to do what needs to be done now and not to worship a higher power who has no need of worship. If you want to do something for God, do something for those human beings who need it. Blessings.

Hello Pose, How can a religion be organized when people in that religion hate and cursed among themselves? sometimes i wonder. people should do best putting all the principles into practical application and not just listen all the time just to make them relaxed and feel good after attending church mass.

I don’t normally respond to posts about religion. In my opinion one’s faith is personal and more practicing and less preaching would be ideal! My view is that being religious and devout to a particular faith does not give you the monopoly on all creeds and tolerance and respect are paramount for society to be a peaceful one.

Hello Paula, I agree about being Less preaching some are just way off and a bit more judging.I do also believe having a religion should increase you're way to respect others and not discriminate others just because they have different belief.

Fear of the unknown has always caused problems of all kinds. Couple this with religion's failure to want to change and conflict is the order of the day. This conflict might seem bad but it forces people to learn and grow. You need not worry. God will never let fear and refusal by some, to change progress. We are meant to learn all the secrets of the universe so forward we will always go. As far as x-men, this is far out, however mankind will have genetic manipulation before it's all said and done. That will provide longer, healthier lives with much more physically attractive people. In doing this mankind will learn many lessons including being careful not to let an important gene get away.

Hello Bird, Well, if GOd really made limitations in our minds, then he could have done already I guess what most people deeply connect to religion is that people who can cross the line such as genetic manipulation or having extra in the genes that makes us ordinary; gives us reason not to believe in god no more and become gods ourselves.

Every religion has their own faiths and beliefs in how the world was created. With God all things are psoosible. This includes everything good and everything bad as well. We praise God for the good things we have in life. We are discouraged by the bad things that come about. We look to God for our comfort and our joy. It is what we choose to believe that will guide us.

Hello Sender I agree with you there. i believe looking for GOD for comfort has always been a good thing for me in terms of being a christian and helping others too. but preaching? well, it depends on the situation but i don't want to be too literal, just something that is co related to his or her problems in life.

hi! I actually think the theory of evolution has set society going backwards.. institution of family is falling apart, therefor crime is spiraling and consideration more and more rare, turning into a real dog eat dog society which we've yet to see the fullness of (full fruit of). Even education is spiraling downward, and indecency upward.. thus less family and more dissolution on the way.. I think it took a long time for the magna charter, the constitution and "liberty for all" to be born but now we are heading back toward feudalism, a state feudalism actually and I think we've been and are being educated into it..

Hello Flower, Maybe it was either the wrong principle was applied or the wrong application was applied.i remember watching the space age of the 1970s or 80s people were more interested in science and technology. and now every thing is all around, not much of an interest in space. i hate that feudalism is going to make a less civilized out of our today's society.

Well, there are some groups that think that they have powers I think. But it really depends on the individual. I think that many people are starting to let go of the religion aspect of things and focus more on love. If you focus your energy there then you wont have the problem of judging others and making them feel bad since to really love each person you have to accept them as they are. They are who they are and thats that. I keep this as my first responce to others and if they invoke anger in me I just keep my distance from them. I am a firm beleiver that everything happens for a reason so its a cause and reaction thing, so we all need to focus good energy and surround our family and self with it. That would allieviate many wrong things in this time.

Hello ladygator, well, we do have kinetic energy in our minds when neurons in the brain starts lighting like a bolt from one stem of the brain to the other. i guess i will strike myself at a distance from others too. probably i won't allow myself to be part of another great religous debate that doesn't have an end.

hi letran boy you did bring up some powerful issues. I think we each should quietly practice or not our own feelings on religion as no two people will agree on all aspects of religion. To me God helps those who do not sit and whine Oh God do this or that.In other words we must be able to say I am responsible for what I did, so I am going to solve my own problems, and stand on my own two feet.We should blame our own selves for 99 percent of our problems. We often go into something knowing this might not be the best solution but still do it, and so we have consequences. Each action has a reaction and we should have learned that in grade school. Touch a hot stove you will get burned.climb a shaky ladder, you can fall.Common sense is what we first should use before going to God. He gave us brains and I am sure he expected us to use them.

Hello Hatley, I agree that God helps most specially who helps themselves that's true we can't just sit around and whine and then asked god for help with out us doing something about it.as for me, i never stop believing in the lord still but there are things that i can't stand and that's preaching too much, let it leave the preachign to the preach

This is also what I feel. When I started to browse on the internet about "human robot" or "humanoids" invented by the Japan, I was fascinated, but some of the comments that I read, especially for those people that are not open mind to this kind of thing, some said that those people who invented robot acts like a God --- it seems that they are saying they are blasphemy God. They wish to stop the "human robot" thing because it is like a sin from God. I feel as if one religion is too much dependent on God... I mean too much, they are the ones hindering "human evolution". Sometimes, it made me think that this is the reason why 'science' and religion' cannot be as one because they are always fighting to each other about the belief.

Hello Introvertshy, Well, I would rather see a high tech but open minded Japan rather than the Japanese Era of Imperialism. Whereas during World War II, the Japanese Empire made the people believed that they were the children of GOD and every one else is obselete. jsut like Germany's white power trying to exterminate the jews. either is actually arrogant and close minded in some concepts.

I do not like to speak of my religious beliefs as the one thing that that prevents me from doing so is that I always remember they are my beliefs and I have not right to impinge them onto others. Therefore I expect the same in return. I do not know if religious people would do away right away with such babies as I believe all people would have a hard time right off the bat to consider it as a first option. Who knows, I am not that imaginative..LOL

Hello Hardworkinggurl, I agree, it's not in my position to speak of my beliefs msot specially if i don't act most on my beliefs. that's true we can't implied this one every, even to another christian for that matter he or she has a different belief.well, imagination allows us to see a lot possibilities.

I still believe in the Bible and my faith is so strong. Who will then create the universe if God is not existing?
• Philippines
1 Dec 10
Hello fyzeon, I believe that the faith and what ever we believed in should be more focused on practical application instead of preaching all the time and yet most of us don't do as they or we preached. at least that would have been less hypocriting

I believe that religious people would have done so. They killed everyone that thought differently from them, they killed smart people and scientists, let alone mutants.
• Philippines
3 Dec 10
Hello cryox, well, if they didn't then we could have a lot of discoveries now. not just science but also which craft as well. can you imagine combining science with magic at the same? what possibilities we can achieve i think. as for mutants i think the genetic natural mutation is a natural evolution and should not be considered a taboo or blasphemy.

hello .....human evolution may have stopped for the human race ..... we don't really know why we are here , religion and science have their positions , i think it is quite interesting and even ironic that humans of euro-Asian origin have about 5% Neanderthal blood flowing in their veins , there is no disputing that ....there are to many questions about our origins , we may never know the full picture , but never say never

If there is one thing everyone can be sure of, its the increase in lawlessness around the globe. Increased terrorist activities, increased diseases, increased crime level, increased human selfishness, its evident everywhere. Its just one thing, human rule is degrading, its not getting better, its not evolving, its degrading. So, I doubt there would be any human with any sortta of superhuman powers evolving.

It seems to me that any mutation the human race h as done in the past hundred years is NOT toward superpowers. I'm talking about natural changes, not someone taking steroids.
