Marriage with a Term!?!

I know it was a hot topic in our country when a representative of a marginalized group in the House of Representatives (Lower House of Congress) filed a bill whereby marriage will now have a term just like drivers licenses which can be renewed by the couple before expiration and not renewed if they want to part ways. I know this is absurd and I haven't actually seen the actual Bill but do you think like all licenses and permits that marriage should have a term?

I think I know what you mean, I think I have read that too. In my opinion this bill is way out of this earth. Instead of suggesting such a bill why not just make divorce legal. A marriage expiration is totally weird and to think that we don;t even allow proxy marriages here. Maybe this law makers want to set a trend since their is no country that I know of that allow or have expiration of marriage

It is an absurd suggestion to say the least. And I agree no country allow such a way for marriages to be terminated. I believe it was just a ploy for the party to make noise and be recognized by the masses, however I believe it was a marketing disaster! It may also serve as a warning to those against divorce that the alternative is much much worse if taken by extremist politicians.

What? I haven't heard of this yet, maybe because I haven't had time to watch the news lately, where did you hear this? This is crazy, why don't they just go on and legalize divorce in our country on the process?
