Hello, I am currently torn between a Macbook pro or an iMac. I am currently saving up for a newer computer because the current laptop I am using is starting to die on me after 3 years of usage. Which do I get? I know I can still make good use of my current laptop just to surf and all. The things, I want to do with this newer computer will be for surfing, photo-editing, and doing documents.

MacBook Pros are typically for people who want to use the high-end video editing and image software like Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Adobe After Effects and so forth. I don't know whether or not those programs run well on an iMac, but I'm certain you can get a good non industry standard photo-editing software for one. I have a MacBook Pro, but I'm a film student and I use Final Cut Pro and the programs in Final Cut Studio all the time.

Well, iMacs are bigger compared to Macbook Pros. I was leaning on Macbooks due to the reason I can bring em along anywhere.

Silly me... I totally knew that but for some reason I was thinking of the tiny little MacBook laptops verses the Macbook Pro. DaR. So you're looking between a desktop Mac and a Macbook, is that it? Well if you want to take your computer with you places then get a Macbook. Simple choice. lol
