I am, and I love my job, but it's tough work and it's hard to make a decent amount of money doing so. I work as a freelance writer, because I am in college and it suits me best right now, being able to work on my own time. I have articles published here http://www.contributor.yahoo.com/user/840744/morgan_stockton.html and several other places, if you would like to see, as well as other places. I would love to hear other freelance writers stories, tips, what you love, what you hate, etc.

Same, that one link I put up was just a place where I submit articles to as a collection. But yeah, you get to learn about a lot of things. Lots and lots of things. Do you write for anyone in specific?

You can right for lots of different places and people. Search around for listings and apply to jobs. It's hard work. You can also write for places like Associated Content, which I also do, where you submit articles for small upfront payments and get paid 1.50 per thousand page views. After you get so many page views, they amount paid per thousand starts to go up.

I'm a freelance writer and have been for quite some time. I am now mostly retired, but can't resist writing something now and then. I have a blog where I highlight some of my work (in my profile). I like not having to get up at a specific time and being able to work as I feel up to it and have time to concentrate without interruptions. The best tip I can give you is to write, write, write. The more you write, the better you become and the better you are, the more opportunities open to you.

read a lot, write a lot, and study how successful writers write and sell their books or articles. you can also try to search for good topics that will get more views and let you earn more. writing is hard work when the articles you need to come up with are needed to be of good quality. good luck!

Writing has been my hobby since my college days, and is still is. I can very well understand that writing is a nice way of spending spare time for students. One can make some earning while enjoying what one likes to do. I am continuing with freelance writing, writing articles, short stories, reviews, and so on, at online sites. Have a nice time freelance writing !
