Call before coming over.

It does annoy me that people tend to drop by unexpected without calling. Especially if I'm in the middle of eating dinner or not feeling up to entertaining visitors. This can't be the only person who this frustrates.

I agree. I get so frustrated with it. It hardly ever happens but when it does it puts a damper on my day. I earn money online and even though it is not "set" hours it is still how I help support my family. I get so aggravated at certain family members who drop by and take up my time while I am trying to do this. They do not really understand. As far as people stopping by while eating a meal, that is also aggravating. Normally if I have enough I offer them some (alot of the times if someone stops by at suppertime that is what they want anyway). If I do not have enough I put my food in the microwave and sit down in the living room and chat with them.

Even if it is during your leisure time, it still frustrating. My days are pretty much mapped out, where I need to do stuff. There is some flexibility but not enough to accommodate someone dropping by for a couple of hours. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

I agree. Especially in this day and age where everybody is connected to everybody with every means technologically possible, it seems a bit rude to be barging in on anybody unexpectedly. I also hate this kind of surprise especially when I've planned the day, and can't accomodate any more activities. That is why for me, I make sure to make an announcement before I visit someone because he/she, too, might feel the same way about it.

Yes, always, call before coming over. Or let me know in some way. Trust me, if you can text your fingers off, you can take a couple moments to call to see if I'm not busy. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

I so agree, there are times I want to lounge around in my pj's and simply do nothing then there comes that visitor to throw me for a loop, it especially happens when I am simply laying around and hoping to get some rest. I would never impose on anyone as you just never know what their day and or evening is like, so why do this to me. Ugh..

Yes people get busy. Therefore, we are not going to be up with socializing at all times. It is very annoying to say the least. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.
