Well, I eat Kamote to replace processed carbohydrates in my diet. It has been working good as well. The only problem is the gas release if you know what I mean. Thank you for your response. Happy Mylotting.

I used to eat that as well. But, I didn't really have a knack for it since Bananas where better tasting. But, now I love Kamote since it makes life a little bit easier as well. And not to mention, I buy them really cheap.

I am always gaseous so it doesn't matter to me My understanding is that it is very low in the glycemic index, meaning that it does not convert to glucose as readily as other starchy foods like regular potatoes, corn and carrots. I'll have to take note if my tooting increases. I know I don't when I eat beans that are notorious for flatulence, but we shall see.

Kamote is super nutritious. They seem to be ideal for people who need to diet or need to have enough dietary fiber taken in.

Yes, I do eat Kamote or sweet potatoes. I like it best when it is thinly sliced and fried. It is so yummy when it is crispy, and sometimes, I dip it in a little sugar. This tastes so good but not too good if you're dieting because of the fat and oil from frying. What I advise you is to just prepare and eat it boiled, so there are no extra fat and oils.

Well. I have been eating camote or Kamote or "sweet potatoes" for several weeks now. I still love it boiled with zero sugar and zero salt. Only problem is I do pass flatus like it I was a car running.

Speaking of CAMOTE!!That was my favorite snacks when i was in elementary and high school. camote is a cheap substitute to very expensive snacks such as bread with spread. But as you said if you release flatus then the worlds near to you where consider you as a smokey mountain..hahahaha lol

I personally think that sweet potatoes are great. They are very tasty and quite a healthy food. In addition to simple starches, they are rich in complex carbohydrates. They are also good sources of vitamin C and vitamin B6. Most scientific studies have raned them at the top of the nutritional list of vegetables. They are very rich in fiber which contributes to the flatulence problem. However, taking in fiber on a regular basis will reduce or eliminate this situation. People who eat high fiber foods like beans every day will generally have little trouble in this area. I like to take them in the microwave like regular potatoes and serve them with butter , margarine or brown sugar .

Good Morning dear Mylloter friend , well to be totaly honest with you , i want to tell you that i had never in my life heard abiut this Kamote , actually it is thanks to your discussion that i camed to the knowledge of it , i was wondering for what kind of dieting would this Kammote would be good , is it for loosing weight diet or for people whom cannot eat thingz that have too much salt or sugar inside of it . About this kamote do you think we cann use it as the same that we use the regular potato ? What i mean is if we cann make french fries with it ? Or if we cann make smashed pĂ´tatos ( Kamote's in this case lol ) ? As about farting , it is really pretty amusing , and i suposed that if you are about to eat or you will know that you will eat ,it is better to not have scheduled that day a date with the girlfriend/boyfriend , or neither a work meeting , or a job interview ; because i am pretty sure that it is not something that will be smelled , heard or taken as a good point ( lol ) . Now if the farts are not with sound and they are giving an loosing hair from the nose smell , then you might have a chance to blame someone else for the fart lol , and persuade your girlfriend or the coworkers or the interviewer that it is not you , but if the farts are pretty loud then you might be in big trouble even if they dont have a hard smell or not having a smell at all , it will still put you on a bad light Florin , Over and Out

Greetings :) I am not really into Kamote. I eat it when it is there but, I don't buy it. It is one of those foods for me that you would only eat in a social gathering as a sign of respect and appreciation to the host or celebrant. One big down side of Kamote is what it does to the stomach : it makes you gassy and you know :). If ever there is Kamote the best way I would eat it is sweetened like sweet banana/pineapple. Have a nice day :)
