My hair was re bonded so my hairstylist suggested that I need to use conditioner for my hair everyday for the maintenance of its straightness and gloss. I'm following that advice and fortunately I have a smooth and silky hair. Thanks anyway to conditioner.

If you remember in a commercial at which the instruction less at the roofs and more at the tips? Must be the reason why it is so because the hair tend to fall because it is intended only for the hair strands avoiding it to spread on the scalp.

I don't use hair conditioner everyday because i have read from somewhere that it's not good to put conditioner on your hair everyday. This will only cause more damage to your hair. Every other day is much better than everyday. And i also read that when you put hair conditioner you should not include the bottom part or the roots of the hair, it should only be in the tips and middle. I am not sure though if it can really cause hair fall..

I have to use conditioner everytime I wash my hair. I'm half black so I have very curly hair, I cannot get a brush through it unless my hair was conditioned. Then when I straighten my hair after it would be feeling very rough and would start breaking.

it depends on the conditioner you use, because many of today we use a tool to contain hazardous substances. so be careful to choose the goods you use.

Hi asliah! First I would like to inform you that it is normal to loose a few strands of hair every day. It is the normal process of hair growth, but if you start loosing clumps of hair then it should be a concern and should be looked into by a doctor. Next I would like to tell you that unless you have excessively oily skin or have gotten something in your hair to make it dirty, there is no need to wash your hair every day. A person can generally go a couple of days without washing thier hair, since when you are washing your "hair" you should actually be washing your scalp. Shampoo should be massaged into the scalp and then rinsed from the "roots to the ends" of the hair. Conditioner, on the other hand, is used in the opposite manner. It's supposeto be put on the ends of the hair and worked up to the scalp by any excess that is on the hands. Shampoo and conditioner shouldn't be just "squeezed" onto the hair, it should be applied with the hands and in the manner that I had just mentioned. When I found out these methods, my hair became healthier and I didn't loose much of my hair. Lastly, you should use caution and use the products that address your hair needs. I change up my products also so that my hair will stay healthy. I change them after I have been using a particular product too long, what the seasons are and what my "pattern" of treatment will be for my hair. Sorry this was so long, but I hope that this helps!

I always use conditioner. My hair is dry and now with the winter here it's even dryer so I have to use it to keep it managable!

I have the same concern. I use conditioner on my hair everyday and shampoo every other day and whenever I wash and comb dry it, I always get loose strands on my hands. Sometimes I get scared because I think I have leukemia or something, but that's overreacting. But still, I get worried because what if it is already an indication of some kind of disease, right? But since I have dry hair, I cannot discontinue the use of conditioner. I wanted to try Pantene's Hair Fall Shampoo but I couldn't because whenever I switch brands of shampoos, I get dandruff on my scalp. And I haven't asked a doctor about it yet. I'm scared. :-/

I believe in the benefits of hair conditioner. i don't like to use it everyday though. It can dry your hair out if you abuse it. i like to condition my hair every few days. that seems to work best for me.

I have long hair, so of course when I wash my hair I need to use some conditioning product or it will be impossible to comb my hair. However, it's not good to wash it everydays, so that's why I'm not using conditioner everydays. When I wash my hair sometimes I use conditioner, and sometimes I use some moisture hair mask, so my hair won't get tired of the same product and will keep its health too.

Hello asliah! I am not sure what conditioners do to the hair hoever, I do not put conditioner everyday, I use it every other day. I use a separate shampoo and a separate conditioner so that means, I shampoo also every other day or combine both. Cheers!

I use conditioner every other day and I don't shampoo every two days...I think this works since my hair is more shiny and bouncy...

I use shampoo everyday and conditioner every other day. Too much of conditioner will lead your hair to become over moisturized or oily and that's the reason why your hair is falling.

before i used conditioner everyday but i alternate my shampoo every other day. Today, I don't even use conditioner anymore because of our economy to day which is expensive, so, I made up an alternative which is using hair oil.. so after bathing, wipe your hair half dry then put the hair oil from your scalp up to the tip then air dry your and your good to go. I've been doing that for almost a year now and my hair is straight! hehe

No, I don't use it, my hair is dry so it really won't help it. I do use shampoo and some hair treatment every now and then, it helps to keep my scalp clean.

Hi, I don't use hair conditioner everyday, but twice a week. I noticed that my hair started to drop since I gave birth to my son. I am still using the same shampoo and conditioner as previously, but it seems the hair drop is increasing.

I use hair conditioners because if i don't then i would have falling hair because my hair gets dry easily. I think it depends on how strong or mild the conditioner that you're using is. There are conditioners for falling hair and it helps reduce the number of your falling hair strands. Why don't you try changing your shampoo instead. Shampooing you hair on a daily basis is not good at all. Or if you want you can use lemon to condition your hair. It's natural and effective too.

I don't use hair conditioner every day. I used it when I feel like using. LOL. Because you will need to leave it there for about 1minute... I feel bored just by waiting. That's why I don't use them everyday. I tend to lose 3-5 strands of hair whenever I apply conditioner. I think I'm not gentle enough to my hair... I watched a video and it says hair is very vulnerable when they are wet. So maybe I used too much force when getting the excess water out. I don't think you should apply conditioner everyday if it's the cause of your hair fall. Try changing to other conditioner to see if it helps. :)

it is normal to have a hairfall. but it you notice that it more hairfall than before because of the hair conditioner you use everyday maybe it is advisable to put only a small amount then rinse it with small amount of water .
