Are you fond of keeping old photographs?

My late mom has had the extreme habit of keeping old photographs, from her childhood to her wedding up to the most important events her children have had. That was really amazing that almost all the photos which we wanted to reminisce at this time were all kept intact in one sturdy and antique box (of her age, probably). I am really thankful nowadays that she made a unique effort of preserving these valuable stuff which are really interesting to look at again. This is the reason why I will be doing the same thing so that my children as well as their children will have a memorabilia. Did you get this habit also?

yes, i like to keep old photographs. Even I maintain a seperate external USB hard disk where I dump all my photographs. The thing is that I am very much interested in photography and so I like to keep all the images and then I work on them, when I get time. You can check my website for my photography at http://www.amitavroy.com

I am fond of keeping old photos because these mean a lot to me. The photos that are the most wonderful for me are my travel photos. The first photos I have of Greece that I visited with my mom in 1987. Every year there has been since then there are more travel photos leading up to my trip to Canada in 2010. I have more photos that are important for me. These are my family members: an album for each person. I also have an album of my pets that I have had over the years. My mom hasn't kept her old photos very well and as a result she can't find all of her old photos which is a shame. For my mom's birthday I made a photo frame with seven photos showing all the cats she has owned in the past. She really loved getting that.

I have kept old photos for many years. I also have many of my late parents and the very old ones are in black and white and sepia. For a few years now, I have been scanning them and saving them onto my computer and memory stick and stored them the photographs away in our attic. The photos I am taking now, are kept on memory stick and I only print out one or two if I want to frame them and hang them on the wall. Photographs are a great way to look back on life and remember how we used to be. Of course, I am no longer the person I look at and it is interesting to look at as it so often feels like its somebody else. _Derek

My family used to save photos. We don't do that as much anymore. I have alot of pictures that I have saved from my mom's collection. I remember they always liked to do generational pictures. It is valuable. I wish I had a scanner and could scan all the pictures of my family that I have and could put them online.

Yes, I love looking at old photographs. We have a few albums full of photos in a storage area in our house. We also have some pictures of my mom's family- her parents when they were kids, her grandparents, et c.

I am fond of organizing photos and I had a lot of them in my albums until, things happened with some of the people in them and I had to get rid of a lot of them. That was tiring, so now, I only print photos of people who I really love.

My family keeps old photographs, holidays, when I was small, when they were young. Well, after all, those old photographs serve as a nostalgy to us right? In my opinion, photographs are the best way to kill our boredom and pass our time. At least we have photos to remind us of our past, the things we did, where and when. Yea, it just feels good to flip through those photos.

I enjoy looking at the photos of yourself with your family and your friends as they recall my happy memories with them. I would like to keep photos is also because I am afraid that I would forget all these happy memories as I get older and older. Therefore, I think we better start keeping photos as early as possible.

Yes i am fond of collecting old photos. Too bad my photo while i was giving birth to my son was destroyed by the typhoon. I was really devastated then because those pictures were really so important to me and they were really good pictures. Pictures are the only way i can retain good memories of the past that couldn't be turned back anymore so I like to treasure those.

I find that your late mom and I have the same weakness. I have big plastic containers full of photos in large albums from way back when I was still in grade school then on through the years until now when I still keep the photos of my grandchildren in large albums and I know my children are also doing the same thing.Looking at them means going to the past with memories...sadness and happiness especially when involving loved ones who have passed away. Though my heart aches when looking at these photos, they still give me a feeling of being still in touch with those departed loved ones.

Yes, it is a very good habit, when all the photos are showing together, you will feel amazing. It is strange, when you see the photos related to you, normally it will make you smile, think about beautiful, warm things, not not bad memory. I remembered once time I went to visit my aunt, I saw one photo, it is very very old, I recognized my mother at once in the photo, the image of her young was almost same with me. it seemed I was watching myself in old type clothe, it was very amazing.

I did actually my mom was really good at keeping all those momentous and cool things from when i was a kid so I have all of it to show my kids, well when I have some lol. I think it is important to know where you came from and to have those important memories, especially since some of my immediate family has passed on now it is good to have those pictures and memories of them.

i have planned that several times, but still I haven't done it yet. I also wanted to keep all old photographs in a scrapbook like piece to serve as memorabilia too..

My mom has that habit too. From birth to adulthood, she's kept our pictures as well as her young adulthood pictures and wedding pictures until the most recent ones. It's cool and it brings back memories when we look at our own baby pictures that my mom had compiled in each of our own albums. I'd want to do that to my children too and every memorable moments in my life. :) It's good too that you can look back and enjoy browsing pictures which contained memories that are dear to us.
