Use SEO to its best and use backlink. When you are writing, remember to write facts more than just words. Use traffic exchange to get visitors and at tthe same time, reply to comments to show you care of what the readers think :) these are the little basic stuffs all must follow to have a decent readership :)

Yes, use social network sites for instant boost of readership. However, keep it marginal as too many and people will rate you as spam.

Deadhorse? Don't loose hope. Use all your resources. It will help you even just a small number of readers. eventually it will grow in time. I also agree with nicregi
