I am a psychic

Yep, I get a discussion e-mail, and I am almost 100% accurate at predicting which ones will be deleted. So and so user is nasty! How do you change your settings? Why is myLot green today? Want to exchange referrals? How do you delete your account? Which do you like better, tacos or burritos? Let's play a word game! I know most of us sign up for websites and don't read the terms of service. For most sites they're pretty much the same, right? But guess what! Here on myLot you need to know what's in our guidelines and so on, because they actually delete discussions and replies that aren't acceptable. And that means you (and other people too) lose earnings. Sometimes I click on the links anyway just to prove that I'm psychic. Are you psychic?

hi dawnald oh my my psychic powers yesterday really went haywire and those I would have seen at a glance I actually replied to and even got my hands slapped once for "keeping flame war going" but this newcomer really got to me bemoaning that she had had four discussions deleted and could not understand why so all I did was say read the guidelines as thats what they are there for and learn the rules, you do read? okay that was mean I grant you.But why do people come here not read any of the info, break ten rules at one time then cry mylot is unfair? so my earnings went down a bit and all my own fault as any other time I would have bypassed them as most newcomers figure they already know everything so why bother reading those boring information things. Also when someone makes a discussion every two minutes I figure four of those will be deleted for breaking mylot rules

Either they will figure it out and do better or they will get disgusted and leave. If they were getting nasty with you for saying just that, it's probably good riddance anyway.

More like predictable. Since you login to mylot a lot iot's easy to see which discussion will be deleted. Some of them just stop by to spam users. I was actually one of those first time users who didn't read the the do's and dont's. I remember posting an referral link in a discussion then the poster of the discussion got upset. Only thing I can do was apologize.

I'm no psychic, but I'm pretty good at reading people in person. Online, if I get to know a person's writing, then I can make some pretty good predictions. But I think all of that is more common sense . . . just like on myLot. I must admit I haven't read all the guidelines (gasp!), but what you do here (or anywhere) just requires common sense.

Mostly it does, although you can't necessarily know (as a newbie) what's going to fly without reading the guidelines. But you can learn from experience (also know as learning the hard way) here too. lol Some people don't though. PS I didn't read the guidelines when I was new either.

I came from Yahoo Answers . . . so myLot was sort of a piece of cake when I got here. One of the biggest and grayest rules over there was "no chatting" . . . and I like chatting . . . so thank goodness myLot is all about chatting!! But otherwise, the "being good" rules apply everywhere (mostly). Yah, you can't "discuss" certain topics here . . . but - get deleted and you quickly learn (or at least one would hope!!).

I couldn't say I'm a psychic, but I could say I'm a history buff! And I learn from history. So, if I see these type of discussions, history would tell me that they will get deleted. So, I try to stay away. Learning saves time.

Once in a while I just let myself get suckered in to the really obvious ones. I do not know why, it is like a moth to the flame (do not tell the blue bunny). I had one of those the other night and took a moment to give the OP "what for" about the attitude, and the whole darn thing got deleted. I rest my case.

You don't need to be psychic to know which of your responses got deleted because the discussions they were under were deleted. When I see an "notification from myLot" email I always say to myself: you did it again, you, scatterbrain! And then I try to imagine which of the discussions I responded was the one. Usually it is not difficult to imagine which is the deleted discussion, but I wonder why don't I realize it is a wrong discussion to participate the moment when I decide to respond to that discussion?

Sometimes I reply anyway knowing that the discussion is doomed!

Usually it's to help somebody out. But once in a while I do it just because. I don't care that much about the earnings that a few cents is going to keep me away from something.

When I realize a discussion is "doomed", I stay away of it. It's better to save my time. (time is money, isn't this true?) But sometimes I let myself carried away of a subject, and I don't realize the potential of a discussion to be deleted. Why do you reply to a discussion you know it will be deleted?

I am psychic about the run of the mill deletions. However, I honestly could not resist one the other night, commented in three places. I hope no one looks at discussions and decides they are okay because I am in them. Sometimes I just cannot resist jumping right in there. I lost four or five posts yesterday. Oh, well. Here I am in this one, though. I am admitting that I sometimes go against my own psychic abilities.

No, I do not think so, but someone else said they thought it would. I am only here admitting my fallibility. I got in trouble yesterday, so I must have it out of my system.

sadly no. I've had responses deleted because somebody's discussions deleted another time I put a link for a discussion on mylot and yet that response was deleted too, the thread starter was yapping around saying that someone (me) put a referral link since then I never responded to this person anymore. weird. it should be easy to see a mylot discussion and a referral link if I were psychic I wouldn't respond to her in the first place ...

Yes, I can be psychic just like you...lol. The discussions that kill me the most are the ones that start out "Why did my last discussion get deleted?" Well duh? Or, they try to re-phrase the first discussion that got deleted. You have to be kidding me. Do they really think they are going to squeak another discussion through? I know sometimes some discussions can be a little dicey when it comes to the guidelines, and I can understand those, but when you repeatedly start the same discussions that are against the guidelines, and then you can't seem to understand why they get deleted!!??!! READ THE GUIDELINES PEOPLE!!!
