Was just wondering if anyone actually still played the classic version? Way back when I first started playing it was classic or rs1 as some called it. I felt it was more compatible with the medieval setting they portray now stuff is just weird... What do you think of the major improvements to the game that have been made in the past three years? Such as Summoning.

I got to play a little classic not too long ago when they had that free tiral thing. I can't say I liked it very much. The graphics were lousy , there was so little to do. Summoning was an amusing update. Used well it's quite good. If you just make the pouches to level up but don't make good use of the familars it's lousy. Dungeoneering was a disapointment. While I like it as a minigame ( which is all it should have ever been ) the fact that it's a skill is disapointing. It's the train all your skills in one location in a minigame skill... Sorry, not impressed. It should have just been a minigame.

I totally agree about the Dungeoneering. When it first came out I hated it then and even now I do. I am still amazed I got to fifty without blowing up. The summoning you are right also you have to use it, if you don't use what you make or at least make useful pouches then there is no point in it. I know people who have made so many terrorbird pouches to train on the double experience weekends and stuff and they will never use that many. While the graphics were greatly horrible I like the community there was a long time ago on the RS1. People were more keen on being nice and actually helpful. Now it is just immature people normally on RS2.

It's not the game itself that changed that. It's the society changes outside the game. More imature people to play.

The days of runescape classic were the golden days when Runescape was the most exciting and fun... Unfortunately I will never get those days back. In brings back a lot of nostalgia thinking back to when I was a kid and I first discovered Runescape. I thought it was the most fun thing on the planet.

Lol, I agree. I used to be hooked on Runescape for hours and days when I was a bit younger. It seemed like it was the ONLY thing I was going to do for the rest of my life, but then, I grew up.
