Usually bands break up because of personality clashes and sometimes artistic differences. It is depressing for fans when the band that provides them music they love part wars for different reasons. Some bands disband to form a new band or have a solo career but not all of them were as successful as their career when they were still members of their bands. I mean some bands have this magical chemistry when making music so its really making you wonder how the heck they get artistic differences. Any stories you can share about your favorite bands disbanding, How do you feel when they disbanded, did you follow their careers after the break up?

ive always been an avid fan of the moffatts brothers a band from canada and they disbanded when it turned out their brother Dave is a gay. Reminiscing those days paints a smile on my face. a part of adolescent years that i cherish.

Isn't it weird that even sibling bands disbands, It's like our life we depart to our siblings too. I am not a fan of moffats but I do remember them, they were like Canada's answer to Hanson. The last time I heard about them, the twins from that band have successful album in Indonesia, they were having underground careers now.

It seemed like its the disbanding that affected you the most. I had been affected by many disbanding since there are times members of a band wanted different directions with their music career.

Hi there CaptAlbert, I hate it when that happens. Off the top of my head I'm having trouble of thinking of any bands other than the Who and the Beatles but there have been many. I think it was the end for the Who. They just never had that same appeal separated as they did together. Now the Beatles, well, I think John Lennon and George Harrison did amazing after the breakup. I think George's talents were hidden behind Paul and John and he got his chance to shine on his own finally. I never much cared for Pauls music. There have been more recent bands but I'm just not into thinking this morning, Albert.,,,sorry.

No, I don't hate Yoko and never blamed her for the band's demise. I don't like her music but while I know a lot of people blamed her the truth is that there were a lot of issues between the guys and I think they were just ready to move on to other adventures. I love John Lennon's music and the wisdom in his words. I did think of another band...Sound Garden. I'm a big fan of Chris Cornell. I actually think I like AudioSlave better than Sound Garden.

Are you one of those fans who hates Yoko Ono....Since she is the reason why the band disbanded? John Lennon's solo career is amazing, he have lots of immortal and ageless hits that is popular until now. I know some people who cries whenever they heard the song Imagine.

I was following Chris Cornell's solo career now, I was never a fan of Sound Garden and Rage Againts the machine but Audioslave's music is like one of the greatest music I have heard. I do wish more superbands will happen.

Well, my favorite band was SAOSIN, the first time their vocalist Anthony Green left the band, i felt awful, coz they're such a great and, but then Cove Reber comes as the new vocalist and when their album In search for solid ground came up, it was as good as the last albums so i was happy again, but then cove left the band a few months ago. so now i feel awful again since my favorite band doesn't have a vocalist.

Sometimes When Vocalist is replaced, Its just not the same, the chemistry is not there. The most depressing disbanding for me is Audioslave, its a merger of 2 awesome bands, I consider it a super band and all of their albums were good.
