Have you had any problems with the changes with paypal?

This is a bit of a rant and I apologize for my bad attitude. I have been signed up with paypal for some time. They have had my same account numbers (I have an H&R block card/debit) for forever. I got my payment from mylot and they wouldn't let me have it. Paypal that is. They are now telling me that my accounts are not valid and I have to use THEIR "prepaid" card or they can send me a check via mail in 2-3 weeks. I just got off the phone with the lady and she told me that they have changed some policies and this is how they have to do it now. I am to delete my account numbers and re-enter those same numbers and start my verification process all over again and it's going to take at least 3-7 business days to complete. Are you kidding me? I have enough going on and basically this is my paycheck they are messing with. Some of my other sites all use paypal as well, and some of them won't send it to paypal anymore because of these changes. Have you had any of these problems? I could see it if there was a fraud alert or something to that affect but she said that they were valid, I just had to re-enter my info. Sounds fishy to me!

I have never had trouble with Paypal at all and I've been with them for several years. I would be very skeptical if this happened to me. Are you absolutely sure you were at the real Paypal site? Scammers can make things look very real. If I were you, I'd email Paypal and explain the situation and ask them just to be sure, if this is something they would do. Since they asked for your information (Paypal has it already or you wouldn't have an account in the first place), I'd be afraid it was someone who wanted to steal my identity or empty my bank account.

That was my first clue to be calling someone. Yesterday they said that I was on an old version of paypal and I said this can't be right. I called today and she said to verify everything that I already had on file. They would send me deposits of under a dollar in the next few days and then come back and get verified. Seems kinda cheesy to me.

Oh, I see. If you got the phone number from the Paypal site after being told you had a problem, then I can see them needing reverification. They need to know that you are who you claim to be. You'd want them to do that if someone called them with a claim on your account, wouldn't you? I think it's just a security thing, but I don't know your entire situation.

I haven't had any problems with paypal yet. I hope that they don't screw up me receiving any of my payments from here though.

Hello, me either. But this wasn't the only site. Anything I have had money come in from, is just sitting there waiting on me to reverify the accounts. This is on my nerves because paypal supports green dot cards and other such things, and that is what my emerald card is part of. I have had it on here for a while now. She said my money was still there. Just got to wait forever to get that money. This urks me to no end. Good luck to you all. I hope I opened eyes everywhere.

This is the first I have heard of this, but I have mine tied to a checking account, and then also, I tend to use the funds online, without transferring the funds. I do not have a paypal debit card, as at the time I tried they wanted a credit card to verify it, and I did not have one. I have had the same Pay Pal for probably eight to ten years. I had a card when I verified, but I do not have anything except prepaid now. This makes me curious, I want to see if I can get a PayPal PrePaid card.I hope you are able to sort it all out.

Thank you dear. I have had my account for a while. The debit mastercard that I have actually ties to my checking acount. That's why I don't understand what she means by my account not being valid. I have checking through H&R bank. So this didn't make sense. Good luck with that card. I'm all confused about it now.

Well, your discussion has raised a red alert in me though. Ok, I have not received my earnings from here as they are going to be sent to me next year. I've got to take note of what you said, seems a bit troublesome.

I had to take all of my information out, almost starting over and re-enter my account numbers. I thought this a bit strange, but she assured me "your balance will still be here when you reverify your accounts". Sounds fishy to me. They have their own card now tht they want everyone to use. But the thing is, it does a credit check on you and if you have a flaw, you don't get the card.

Well, I will cross the bridge when I get there. Why do they need to provide a debit card when mine works perfectly? By the way, I am not from the U.S though.

Really? I do not know yet if I will have the same problem because I have just withdrawn the money only today. I hope there will be no such problems. I wonder why Paypal is giving the users a lot of difficulties when in fact it is charging high for its services. I hope Mylot admin can take this up with Paypal. This will surely create a lot of problems for many users.
