The sacred television remote!

Perhaps one of the most five powerful elements in the entire universe is the television remote. Whoever holds the television remote, holds the power. Should this remote get lost, then there is a panic. At once there was a time where people might have gotten up to switch the station but that time is long since passed. Now the television remote is something that has supreme power over a family's television viewing habits. The one that controls the sacred remote is the one who controls the television. Is this person you or someone else?

haha, yeah, you're definitely right. The television remote is really important, since you can do so much with it, the television only has little buttons that control volume and the channel. My family takes turns in holding the remote though.

Its good that you take turns. Yeah the television remote really does do a lot and it is something that helps us get from channel for channel in just a press of a couple of buttons. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

I know it sounds silly but if I had to change the channel manually I rather not change the channel.. LOL.. Here at home my boyfriend and I although we compromise, I find I have a bit more control over it. As I am the one to usually turn on the TV and well whatever I set is where it stays..LOL.. However we both do have favorite TV shows so we end up watching the same things most of the time.

I really do think that you are far from the only person. People would be stuck on the same channel for all time, no matter what, in many occasions, if they were forced to change the channel. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

I really think you are in the minority right here. Of course, if I have to I had, I could. Of course, I watch most of my television online or through DVDs, so the point is moot. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Both!!! I am the only one who uses the remote here, but I go nuts when I cannot find it! When I was a kid my daddy used to call me in from playing to change the channel on the tv for him! I always said that I was the first remote control! lol!

Ah yes the human remote control. Because someone had to do it. And its either the child or the wife nine times out of ten, at least from what I've seen. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.
