It's hard to create unique topics these days..

I do know what you mean as mine also seems to cramp and freeze.. But then an inspiration comes through from time to time which allows me to carry discussion for a while. Have a great day.

You know what you need Letran? Puppies...A dog will give you all kinds of things to write about. Cats will too if you prefer them. The best posts I make and read are about my puppies or a mylotters pets. After I do everything from replying to my posts and my friends, I go to my interest and most of the time, I end up replying to some stranger about their dog or cat post.. Of course this can be me, I love animals and love their antics, and having a couple of wild beasts of my own, I see stories in their lives every day. I just don't have the time to write each and every one down, but they do keep my mind active and creative..:)

As you observe I am also running out of topics to post lately. Maybe because I am tired most of the time when I come to my room from work. Of course alot of things coming to my mind everytime I open my laptop. Aside from work I am always thinking my family specially this time a very important period for us as Filipinos. We don't Christmas celebration here so I am thinking most of the time when I was in the Philippines with my family. I am trying now to find a day that my Boss will give me a days off from work.

It is very difficult, to create a unique discussion. But sometimes the ideas come just like that, sometimes the ideas that emerged from the problems being experienced.

Well, its really quite hard thinking about unique topics especially when you try to think about it on the spot when you are mylotting. But sometimes we could really think about lots of good topic when we are not trying to think about one. I get lots of ideas especially when I'm about to sleep at nigh but i usually forget about it the following day when i try to think about it again. That is why i usually take note about it so that i wont forget it when i go mylotting again. I think unique topics get more responses as compared to those usual topics that we usually see being posted here and i think members also prefer posting on topics which they usually haven't tried replying to before.

Of course, most common topics have been discussed by someone else already here, so it's really hard to come up with something unique and unusual. I myself haven't created even two topics per week in average. I guess they here is to come up with fresh ideas or different ways of conveying topics that have already been discussed making them sound new. Of course talent will come into play on that and I just don't have that much.

Hi Letran, my first responder to one of my discussion has alerted me that my discussion might be deleted as similar discussions are already in circulation in mylot. Well, things like this is unavoidable as we sometimes run out of ideas and we might just give the newbies something to respond by posting topics which are similar but not the same. Sometimes I keep low by not posting anything as I cannot come up with anything that has not already been aired here. Just hoping that admin give their stamp of approval and not to delete them.

Yeah.. I've been seeing a lot of very similar discussions, if not same, floating around the community. I'm also having trouble starting unique topics, so .. I prefer to respond to other's discussions. happy mylotting :)

There are periods of not so interesting posts here but I am so bury catching up on my notifications that I haven’t really noticed! I suppose it is bound to happen…I know for a fact that even the best writers are sometimes void of ideas! When I find myself staring at a blank canvas I generally take a break, go and do something else and stop focusing and the ideas start come back pretty soon. It is the same when MyLot seems boring, I take myself away for a while...

Letran- Get out of the house for a bit! Life will give you loads to write about, but yes if you stay inside cooped up with only the pc for company it can be a lonely place. I'm sure that inspiration will hit you soon and it won't be on what the latest antagonist is doing on the latest day time drama show. For me, I spent part of today shoveling again as we got more snow dumped on us today! This after a weekend blizzard dumped over twenty inches on us. My pan pipe arrived today so I spent some time this evening learning to play it. I say for a first time user I'm doing fairly well as I managed to recognize the songs I was playing. I do sometimes miss the deep discussions that were on here when I first started Mylot. I also miss the cute updates I used to see from day to day of a few regulars that used to update about life in general. What I have learned though about online communities is they are like the sea. All things move and yet the come back in some form or another. We just have to be willing to ride out the waves. Namaste-Anora

Hi LetranKnight, I understand what you mean and found this happening with me too and gosh! I am so young here as compared to many great stalwarts... and yet I face this issue... But then one day I realized, I can pend down anything... really anything as far as I find it interesting and worth sharing with friends... So what if those posts / discussions do not make them popular and I get much lesser responses... I enjoy the sharing thing now. Cheers, theSids.

The last time I created my own discussion was few months ago. I'm only responding to other people's discussion nowadays but still the risk of losing my comment is still there when I responded to a discussion that had already been created few days before that. Maybe I prefer to participate to other's discussion more because I don't always have much idea for starting a new discussion. Thanks for sharing and have a nice day

@ LK Since i started posting at mylot lot of discussions are running on my mind but the problem is when i started typing it here it seems to vanish :(, I am not a writer really so i don't think i have this kind of syndrome Writers Block hhehhe!..... have a nice day!
