Starve a cold and feed a fever

All of you may be wondering why i have changed the age old saying of 'Feed a cold and starve a fever'. Now due to cold weather people are more prone to cold and fever. So a post regarding this. If you feed your stomach full when having cold i need not say you will feel heaviness, more blockage of the nose and the cold also aggravates whereas if you little that is half stomach it does not intensify the cold in the person rather you feel relaxed. Similarly a person should eat more often when having fever as the energy is burned due to the high temperature in the body and the person feels weak. So a good intake of food helps the person to recover faster. This is my opinion. What do my friends say?

Hello bewitched, What I felt is the appetite is down when you have fever and cold and may not be eat well. There may be bitter taste in mouth and it may take time to restore the normal eating. Sometimes we felt much hungry but our mouth won’t cooperate to eat well. The experience may be varies from people to people. Once we recover from the bad health we may feel much hungry. The weather is getting colder but days are sunny now so it is a great relief. Happy to see the blue star top of your innocent face. Congrats for that.

Thank you Sreekala. Thanks for your response too. Its true that we will have a bitter taste in the mouth but unless and until we eat properly we cannot get well and the taste cannot be got rid of. Happy mylotting and wish you a very Happy New Year.

I think you're right. But of course we still have to watch what we eat. If we're gonna eat something, we should make sure it's healthy, not some junk food, right?

There is no question of junk food when you are sick right! Even healthy food during cold just makes it worse. Thanks for your response. Happy myloting.
