So I just drove my car into a wall

Not on purpose. I was parking and saw the wall and somehow just kept going forward. Please don't ask me why because I do not know. So many things on my mind apart from Christmas activities. Mega problems At work and at the Villa plus she-who-must-be-obeyed has me on edge. I am not getting any alone time where I like to meditate or pray for guidance and patience. I do not even know why I am posting but I have to tell someone. Anyway, the daughter came to the rescue and gave me her car. Do you trust me, I asked? She gave me a kiss and said that she would drive my car to a man that does body work on cars and yes, she does trust me but is worried about my stress level being so high. The car is really bad and I am terrified about what is will cost. So I left my work keys in my car and the man is in another town buying the stuff to repair my car. I had to get a gardener to break into my office for me to get inside. Have you done anything stupid like this?

Hi sweetie. You need a holiday. Send that one back home. If you keep this up you will get sick. Get your feet up, let your hair down, get a big glass of vodka and relax. TATA.

She goes home on January 14th or 17th - somewhere around there. I will take a few days over Christmas - just pop in to make sure that all is okay at work and Villa. I do know that I am mega stressed. I think that I need to get to doctor to get some happy pills for the next few weeks.

Well I'm really not surprised that you did it! I read the title and thought "Oh, typical Cynthi!". I'm so sorry you're so stressed out. The holidays do that to so many people. I guess that's why a lot of people prefer to just avoid holidays all together. I'm even more sorry that your sister isn't giving you the space you desire.. but you know her visit is only temporary and you will miss her a little bit when she's gone. Perhaps next time you'll plan for shorter visits with her! Hope things start getting better for you soon! (Hugs)

Dear friend, there are many of us who want you to feel our sympathy, and as you know, we all have experienced stress too. So what about your sister? Could anyone explain to her that she is destroying relationships and stressing others, so they become sick, by being so dominant? If she can understand that, and start behaving in a friendlier way, it would be a great advantage for herself and others of course. Why not meditate on the following verses in Philippians 4th chapter: "5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (New International Version, ©2010) Try to find a way when you can be alone and talk to your heavenly Father. Throw your problems to Him and leave them there. I wish you the best..

Thank you cythiann, I am so grateful if God uses me to help you, your response moved me to tears too. We all need this peace in the time being, and if we can do our small part in spreading the good news of the Kingdom of Christ and how he works today, we can help others to learn about this hope for the future. How does God´s Spirit work in our days? The following words of Jesus came to my mind: "8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." I guess you and I are living almost at the ends of the earth..?? Let´s keep on praying for each other for guidance to find those who listen and give response to the Good News.

Tears are in my eyes as I know that the Holy Spirit guided you to give these verses to me. I said in an earlier post that I do not really pray for myself but am a prayer warrior when praying for others. I like to meditate and lately cannot find time for me to pray. I must learn to practice what I preach. Bless you for your response. Bless you

I now that I do have the power of the Holy Spirit. sometimes in church when I am reading from the Bible, I pray for the Holy Spirit to guide me to proclaim the word 0 not just read the word. Then when I speak I find myself pausing at places in the reading or emphasising dome words that never occurred to me when preparing for the reading. So I proclaim with the help of the Holy Spirit. I do not know if we are reaching the end or not. But I wait with joyful hope and try not to get caught up in the world too much. I need to pray more as these days I am just rushing and racing and it is not good. Blessings to you and to your family

In the last week three different people have done this in a nearby city. In fact, it happened in both the morning and afternoon at one chiropractic office. They had a hard time doing business that day. I once drove a small school bus under a bank awning that was not tall enough. I was stressed, and forgot I was in the bus. Thought I had my car. So it does happen and stress is really a big part of it. I am glad you have a plan to take some time off. Merry Christmas, it sounds as if you have a really terrific daughter.

Hi there Cynthiann, Oh I wish you were closer. I would pour you a tall glass of my homemade Christmas Kaluha and light a candle and put on some cool music and lock you in a room that you can't leave but cooler still...no one can enter. You really need to de-stress. We all do stuff like that when we have too much on our minds. It sounds as if you have way too much going on all at once. I hope you find a way to take that much needed break. Even if it is a short one, it'll help. Hope you do.

I am the same way. I absolutely need my solitude even it's in small doses here and there. Actually, everyone else arounds me needs me to have it too. I'm not much good for anyone without it. When all my kids were younger, I often missed some sleep and stayed up after they were in bed just to have that time. have a beautiful holiday, Cynthiann.

Uh-oh. It sounds like you need someone to take care of you. I know you have several mylotters that would love to come do that. It's a pity none of us can afford to come do it! I'm sorry, Cynthiann. I really can't even imagine your stress level. Having a difficult house guest PLUS financial worries is a burden that is hard to bear. You'll be in my prayers.

I must stop worrying and put my faith into action. He has always taken care of me. The thing is that I rarely pray for myself but always pray for others. Must start to pray for myself a little. Have a blessed Christmas.

I sure have. and it cost me debts I have been paying for 5 years LOL then there are other debts I will have to pay after paying off this one these are debts due to necessity, not like I am big spender but they could've been avoided, if only I didn't haste and didn't panic without reason I know how you feel, all stress and not able to meditate without meditation and yoga I wouldn't be able to go through those 5 yrs the way I did, especially with the recession

I am sorry to read this happening to you. But I am glad that you are alright. When I started driving, my instructor always told me that driving requires concentration. Considering that you were quite stress and have plenty of things in your mind, I assume that you were distracted. Be careful and may you be safe always.

Oh geez. Well the most important thing is that you're all right. I'm sure I've done many silly things in my life. Like the time I locked the keys in my dad's car, got another student to drive me home, and braved the wrath of mom to get her key so I could get into the car. Need me to send Valium? Or just hugs?

You are not alone I was parking at the bank and drove into the space thinking I was breaking I was on the gas and went into a tree. Thank God we weren't hurt nor was the tree but the car ended up with about 500 dollars worth of damage. I could not believe I had did this. However, in my defense I knew I shouldn't had been driving because I had not gotten a good night sleep at all. I should have let my daughter drive. I hope the damage is not to costly especially at this time of the year. I pray twice aday for guidance and thankfulness for all that I have at this time in my life. I think you need to go away for a few days to unwind and relax. Good luck and God Bless.

Ti be honest - I am totally stressed. The damage is the equivalent of about US$300 for the car to be repaired and of course the Insurance does not cover this. I am glad that you were not hurt thoughThank you for your good wishes. Notable to get away as yet. Have a wonderful Christmas

Oh! O! Now what have you got yourself into mon ami?? And you are saying that I shouldn't be asking "Why, when, how and where?" Do you even realize what happened to Humpty the Dumpty who was sittin on the wall?( sorry I couldn't keep the rasp to one) Okay, I just intended to bring in a smile and lighten the mood for you. I am really glad that you are safe and are not hurt. God bless you my dear friend. I hope the stress level comes down for you and you have a very merry Christmas. Stay well and stay blessed. Always. P.S. By the way who was the officer to give you a driving license?? I need his number. (Thats the last rasp I had in my armor)

Let me answer the last question first. I did not pay for my licence but it took me many years to get it as once I started to learn t drive I became pregnant and my husband would not let me continue with lessons. I will tell yo the truth it took about 20 years bit I did pass the first time I am giving thanks that I am safe but the money to repair is hurting my pocket very much. Many blessings and thank you for making me laugh

The stress level rose this morning when my sister told me that she had invited 12 persons to lunch on Sunday! My daughter will not be here to help and as yet have not found anyone to come and work for me for the day, but I am working on it.My car is fixed and looks as good as new but my body was telling me something: to slow down as I am not superwomen I have always needed even 15 minutes alone time to meditate and find my inner strength and this is not happening. I fall asleep praying in bed and this is a bit irreverent.

Hi Cynthie, I know and I can very well understand how more stressful it is for you at the moment. The accident called for some unexpected expenses demanding for more stress.I read it in one of your responses that it shall cost you 300 bucks. But I am really happy that you are safe and sound. It shall get over my dear friend don't let the stress build up on you. Hope you are feeling a bit better. Bodhi

You know, I've done a lot of things in the past that are close to the same magnitude as driving my car into a wall, but I've never actually driven my car into a wall. I won't ask you why you did it because you said everything in your post. You are simply stressed out and that means that you mind really wasn't on the task at hand, which was driving. I certainly hope that things settle down for your at least a little bit soon so that you will be able to relax.

First off, oh what a wonderful daughter you have! To answer a loaded question like yours with a kiss! This discussion reminded me of what I did to my car a few months back. I remember being stressed and pre-occupied with something that when I went to a meat shop to get some Thai sauce, and backed out of parking I kept hitting a concrete garbage container. I remember backing 3 or 4 more times before it dawned on me that there was an obstacle at the back. My excuse was it was dark and raining. Currently, I still drive my car with the broken (fiberglass) fender, and I still see the damaged concrete garbage container wrapped in yellow caution tape. Stupid sauce!

Hi dear, All depend on our mood and sometime worse than this. But always remember, while driving car or any vehicle, we should keep all our feelings out of mind and should be fresh with a happy mood. If you are aware that we are out of control, better to not to drive and time some time instead. Please be alert, it is luck and something like that which save our life. But it is not necessary that such ‘luck’ should be around us. Relax, relax, relax!! Have a great day and all the best. Just forget about all and think something fresh. Regards, Thank-s
