The Biggest Loser is getting 2 new trainers next season. This has caused some confusion because many people, including myself, were left wondering if Bob and Jillian are no longer going to be a part of the show. Well, what I know so far is that Bob and Jillian are remaining for season 11 and will work WITH the new trainers. Bob's Facebook and Twitter pages says he has no plans of leaving the show at all. However, I just discovered this video of an interview with Jillian Michaels: http://p.gs/tkvz1 Apparently season 11 will be her last on the show. I have mixed feelings on this. I love watching Jillian on the show. Of the 2 of them, she's my favorite trainer, so I am sad to see that she's leaving. On the other hand, she's a money making machine these days. Videos and cookbooks weren't enough for her. She now has her own brand of diet pills (which I'm completely against) and protein shakes and whatever else, she has her own weight loss website similar to that of Weight Watchers.. It's looking to me like she's capitolizing on our nation's obesity problem.. which to me is a shame. I thought she wanted to help these people not just make herself rich, so I've lost a touch of respect for her there. Also I see she's now the new Go Daddy girl.. more proof she's just in it for the money and not about helping people. So I guess she's on to bigger and better projects that will mean more money for her. What do you think of this news?

I knew that Jillian and Bob were going to be back for Season 11, and I also knew there were going to be a second set of trainers. I am looking forward to the second set of trainers. I hope they will bring something new to the show. If Bob and Jillian were to move on to new things for themselves, I feel that is fine. The show needs to show that it is not just Bob and Jillian, but that you just need to find a trainer and keep up with it. I too do not agree with the endorsment of a diet pill. It is counter productive to everything else she teaches.

Yes, I agree. Endorsing a diet pill does seem to give the opposite message of her usual mantra.

Jillian Micheals is certainly my favorite as I a year ago I bought one of her indoor bikes and I use it religiously. She is a money machine that is for sure and although she is great on the show, her fame is calling her many different directions and so staying on the show would hold her back. Sorry for all the future participants but really they are the ones who truly do all the work. So other motivators would help them and as you I would hate to see her go.

I understood that this would be twice as many competitors this season and so they would have four trainers, working in two different locations. I am not on Facebook and Twitter. I think that it is okay for people to move on in their careers, and at least Jillian is not suddenly dropping the show. Although she may be saying it is her last season, she may have been told it was time to move on, it may be mutual between her and the show. I do not get to watch as often as I would like, but I do enjoy the show and feel inspired by it.

It could have been any number of reasons. It just seems to me that she's too busy these days with everything else she has going on. I think The Biggest Loser really bumped up her carreer and now she's moving on to bigger and more profitable things. I still enjoy watching her on the show, and have checked out a few of her books.. I just think the supplements and stuff like that is going over board.

I understand moving on and there will always be changes that people won't like on a television show. I'm aware that there will be 4 trainers next season and its a good way to see if one of them would be liked well enough to be on future seasons. They have already tried out another trainer a few seasons back and she caused a drop in ratings. Viewers really didn't like her.

I didn't see that season. I didn't start watching the show until season 7.

I never liked Jillian. I just didn't like the way she talked to some people. I realize one has to get tough with certain types of people, and I realize people need to be motivated and not coddled. But a lot of the time she was just plain mean. And yes, she is in it for the money. Which I can't blame her for. However, I think she could have been about the money AND helping people. It just doesn't appear she wants to, huh. Kind of disappointing. I've heard her say she wants to have a baby. It's kind of funny to think of such a hard nose person becoming a parent. She won't have any control of anything then! lol

Oh, I agree. I do think that is why she is so popular. And I don't watch the show regularly. Her attitude kind of turned me off. So maybe she showed a softer side and I just didn't give it a chance. Some of those contestants make me cry though. Like the lady who lost her family in that car accident. I think she was a contestant last season.

Abby Rike.. season 8. That was the first season I watched the full season. Season 7 I caught a couple of the last episodes but that was it. Season 8 is probably still my favorite.. since it was the first one I saw. The thing with Jillian is.. I mean, these people do this to themselves. They make excuses for why they can't accomplish things, they make excuses for their weight, and they make excuses to allow themselves to quit. Jillian knows they can do it if they put their mind to it, and they don't really have time to work out all the kinks as to why they're not putting their mind to it.. so she just barrels into them. Even Bob has been getting a bit tougher on them. I used to think he was a pansy, LOL When I started losing weight I was working out to their DVDs. I did mostly Jillian's dvds.. but I tried one of Bob's. Bob's DVD was like "If you can't do this, it's okay, here's a modification, go at your own pace" etc etc.. Jillian's was like "Look, it's only an hour.. so you're gonna do this, and when you start feeling the pain, that's because your body is changing and getting stronger so embrace it and move your butt!". I mean honestly.. of those 2 tactics, which do you think is going to get better results? Sure you may prefer Bob's method, but if you're not pushing yourself as hard as you can for every single work out, you're not going to see results in your body.

I don't feel that way about her. I don't think she's mean. Actually it appears she has a really big heart and truly cares for her contestants. I mean some of them make me sick but she's still all sweet to them when they aren't in the gym. I think her "bad @$$" attitude is what made her so popular in the first place.. she doesn't take cr@p from anyone and she doesn't let anyone quit on themselves.

I think that it is quite exciting that there are going to be some new trainers on the show for the coming season. However, I also really think that Bob and Jillian are the meat and bread of the show and I think that after Jillian leaves the show I don't know if it will be able to survive. The other thing that bothers me is that they are making it seem like this is the first time that there will be more than two trainers and this isn't the case because there was Kim Lyons for one season where they had the secret training in the desert.

i'm not really a fan of the biggest loser... so i don't really know much about the show... i had only watched it a few times in the past and that's all... but i think it is just the nature of humans to look for more and more money... loyalty hardly counts anymore nowadays... it is sad though when people leave for other job just for the sake of money... take care and have a nice day...

I have only watched it a few times. My kids all like the program...but like you said...this is my feeling. Our little town is supposedly know for being in the blue zone....the zone where people are going to live longer because they are eating and living healthier lives...well that's all fine and good...but its only for certain people...like you have to have a computer. There is also no mentor program to help those who really need it....there are several things I disagree with in the whole program so I am not part of it....I think it was just a bunch of hooey to get nation attention.

I also really liked watching both of these trainers on the show. This is the first I have heard that Jillian will be leaving after this upcoming season. Biggest Loser is one of my favorite shows and I am not big on changes. I hope whoever they choose to replace Jillian is as great of a trainer as she is. Will be sad to see her go.

When it comes on here I am not often home but I do like to watch it as it is inspirational - has got me to start using the wii again for exercise. Have gained 6 pounds since my vacation last July but then I was ill with walking pneumonia and could not exercise for 7 weeks. Am just getting back into my groove again. I don't believe in diet pills either!
