Who is good and who is bad in this world..?

What I now say has no relevance to any religion. It is a human trait in this discussion. In Hindu epic Mahabharath on one occassion Lord Krishna asks Duryodhana the embodiment of evil to find a good man and after search he says that there is no good man in this world. Then the Lord asks Dharmaraj the embodiment of nobility to find out a bad man and after saerch he says there is no bad man in this world. So the moral in this episode is that goodness or badness is in the man himself and not in others. This is not a generalisation but true to some extent. But we are all human beings and mixture of both good and bad.No one is completely good and no one is completely bad. When you develope good qualities in yourself you can easily see good in other people. This will help us to lead a happy life.Do yor try to develope good qualities in you...?

I think there are good man as well as bad man on this earth by nature, each of us is mixture of good and bad qualities, the training we get from birth, from parents, from surroundings, helps us much in what we are now? Thank you so much for this nice post. Professor ‘Bhuwan’. . Merry Christmas HAPPY NEW YEAR

As you rightly say that we are all mixture of good and bad qualities and no one is all good and no one is all bad.But I feel that if we develope good qualities in us we will be able to see good qualities in others. But we develope bad qualities we may not be able to see good qualities in others. That appears to the moral in this episode...

This is a bit of a difficult question ;) I would hope that we all try to develop good qualities. If we don't recognise the good in ourselves it would be hard to see the good in others. You can not see what you do not understand.

what you mean is correct.First of all one should be good and then only he or she can see good in others. For that one should develope good qualities which not only helps self but also in our relationship with others.Say good;hear good;and do good; This is basic idea behind the discussion..

As they say in basketball, 'a good defense is your best offense'. I don't know how it's related but i think it is.

What you say is correct but I am unable to decide the relevance to the present discussion.Whatever it may be.. the principle seems to be prefereably on the defence before taking offensive step. The rule of the game applies to all walks of life..

I don't necessarily try to develop good qualities to the extent that I feel like I am an over achiever in the goodness section. But sometimes my mental disease, schizo-affective disorder gives me a bad time of extreme emotions and feelings. In these times I do try to control myself, but sometimes just a mediocre job is all I can do. Often times I'll make myself start up a conversation with someone, a loved one or the check out clerk at a store. I try not to bottle myself up inside as much as I used to. It's easy to do with this disease as one can get lost in his mind. I also try to do physical things. When I feel very mentally active sometimes it is hard to do physical activities. But I make myself do them and I get through with them with the help of my boyfriend. So I am not a Saint, but I try to get through life with what I have. Including not getting mad at my therapist and participating in the meetings.

When your conscience tells what you are doing is good you cancontinue but sometimes it tells you not to do certainthings then don't do them. There there is difference between good and bad.Others need not tell your subconcious state decides what is good and what is bad.You follow and that is all..
