Why the resentment against MyLot?

I really have no clue what's happened but I see all kinds of users venting their anger against mylot. What on earth happened? Were their discussions removed or something?

I've seen one before and in that discussion, the Mylotter was ranting and ranting about how his discussions were deleted without 'prior notice' and the admin was so pissed off that he came to scold the Mylotter. Well, perhaps they just don't like how their discussions or responses get deleted suddenly and so abruptly.

The admin scolded the user? I can't imagine it. But then again the admins are only humans and trolls can't expect from them never ending patience or anything like that. At a given moment they'll get the banhammer or they're being warned firmly. Some people just need it.

Bad kids, they won't receive anything from Santa this year.I don't know why people complain so much, I believe it's because they play the game without knowing the rules and then they get in trouble.Asking senior members a couple of questions would help a lot.And reading guidelines,of course. It seems that they're not interested in learning more about Mylot.

Some people also don't understand that you shouldn't treat mylot as your money making resource. Treat it like a way to learn new things and give people some insights of your knowledge and they'll see that if you do that there's no way you can break the rules simply because mylot is made for this purpose. And not to sling your referral stuff around. :D

I have seen a lot of resentment towards mylot by other users. they complain that their account is at zero, when previous to that, they had money in it. Others including me have told them that it is because they didn't log in for at least 90 days, and so therefore, their earnings were forfeited. the feel that mylot isn't fair in doing that, but rules are rules and we all have to follow them whether we like them or not. The ones that complain that their discussions were deleted, had no idea why, and once they are told, some understand, and others get really upset, and they didn't think they did anything wrong. I just wish that users would take the time to read the faq's and guidelines before they even start posting, and that way they won't end up complaining.

I know what you mean. I too have seen a few users complaining about their balance being empty. Apparently they aren't serious users because if they were they would either now about the 90 days rule or they'd be a tad bit more active.

It could just be all the trolls that are signing up and finding that they can't bend the rules or guidelines enough to do whatever damage their planning in the first place. I'm sure that in the natural order of things, these users who are just trying to take advantage will just fall by the wayside.

Oh yeah I have seen a lot of trolls. They have low post counts and think bending the rules is possible here. When they see it's impossible they go and cry on mylot and sites outside mylot. I have seen some posts by ex-mylotters just going nuts while it's as clear as day they're the ones to blame.

This line I remember from one of your old posts: It's because they are so lazy! LOL, members refuse to read the guidelines then get pisst because their posts get deleted. Please I think to myself get over it and move on. LOL

Hey that's my line. Like I said above let them be angry and lazy and whatnot, in the end it's a great way to separate the men/women from the boys/girls. :)

Maybe. A lot of users are getting angry because their posts are getting removed. They've been posting discussions then a day after their post will be deleted. I think it's natural for them to get angry having their posts deleted. Anyone would be angry if their post is deleted.

I don't see a reason for them to be angry. They have agreed with the policy that mylot reserves the right to remove contributions for any or no reason. Most of the time it makes sense that discussions are removed because it's mentioned in the rules that certain types of discussions can't be posted. If the title can be answered by yes and no and the opening post doesn't offer anything to discuss about then 9 out of 10 times the discussion is gone.

I have only seen one really upset. I have seen someone else being sad because that other person is upset. Yes, a discussion was removed, and then probably another discussion about how upset that person was about the first discussion being deleted. So what else have you seen people being upset about?

Probably so, a lot of discussions are being deleted that were started because they were not in the guidelines, I have had a few notifications from My Lot just for answering a question{responding to a discussion} Then who ever started the discussion it says on the notification this discussion no longer exists or something like that I guess it was because it was a question? Dunno Anyway Have a Good Day and Happy My Lotting

If you leave a reply on a discussion that's deleted you get a notice. As far as I know it doesn't damage your stars or anything.

It's all because of the money, i guess. When you're earning from something or somewhere, you'll make sure everything has to go right. I'm exempted in this claim. I recently started a discussion on getting my discussion deleted for on valid reason. If this was a normal forum i would never have cared at all.

Who knows? Some people always find things to complain about, no matter how well things work. But yeah, I would assume that they did not agree with some discussion being removed or something similar, that seems likely indeed!

Yeah I know. People are prone to complaining but they are too bashful to see things from a different angle. Same goes for some companies... :D

I've seen it too, lately people complain for everything, specially people who are not happy with the rules in Mylot. If i have to be honest, i've never read the rules here. I got only one discussion deleted and it was around my birthday when i wanted ideas how to celebrate. That's when i made really fast check what is good or bad and the rules are not so much, if i got to be honest. Usually the members who are here from longer, are good example how people can act in mylot. That's what i do always ... One of the things is that i like discussing with people with more experience here, and second is that most of them know the rules and they are following them, so everyone of the new members can learn a lot from them. That's how without reading the rules, i understood what is good and what is bad here, because some of the regular members when they see discussion against the rules, they always answer exactly that and it's helping to me to keep the right way here.

A lot of people who complain clearly haven't read the rules thinking everything is allowed. They run into a rule and fall down on the ground and then comes picking the wrong target. Instead of blaming themselves they scold mylot... It's obvious and so predictable I almost fall asleep. I'm glad that there are people making mistakes but are willing to learn from their (little) mistakes.

Personally I think no body has a right to vent anger on Mylot (that is without sounding like a lap dog)if the reason is your post was deleted, for one , when you joined there were specific rules and guidelines that you agreed to and Mylot has all the rights to delete if and whenever it finds that you have violations. We all make mistakes, personally I still do not have a discussion(as far as I can remember) that was deleted although I have posts on discussions started by other members that were deleted. So I guess it is our responsibility to learn and continue to read the guidelines over and over, if not short of mastering the whole thing.BTW I do not think being onion skinned will help or do members any good

Some people just don't want to learn and think mylot is their own playground while in fact they have to share the playground with another group of children. That's how I see things.
