I have no problem with people that come to this country through the proper chanels. but why should someone that comes here illegally get our free services well not free it cost us the tax payer. they slip across our borders and get food stamps medicaid and so forth. they get preg there come across when baby is due have it born here and get rewarded for doing the wrong thing. i think they should give the child duel citizenship and send them back. when the child is 18 then they can come to us legally as a citizen being born here. 79 percent of those that were given amnesty under bush are drawing social sec. and have never paid in. that is not right.

congress claims it cost to much to build a fense but yet it cost us trillions of dollars every year feeding them and medical care. here is an idea. quit giving bail out money to these crooks and start building a fence.

Yes. But don't you know: all immigrants are minorities and all minorities are victims and all victims get to break laws, mooch the system, and the rest of us are only supposed to STFU about it, watch America fall even further into debt that we'll never be able to pay off, and sleep well at night knowing that we're doing, not the "right" thing, but the sympathetic thing in feeling so sorry for people out of pure ignorance that we're willing to make it a severe problem instead of imposing on someone's feelings with a simple solution. It's all a bunch of BS - the way America handles everything these days is a bunch of BS. I've lived here all my life and love my country, but we do not have a political identity anymore. People wanting America to "change," while they do make decent arguments when delivering the utopian vision, want to march forward as-is without tightening the ship first. For instance: America is supposedly cruel and backwards for still having private insurance, so we need to be more like Europe and Canada etc by allowing everyone access to "free" care. However, this is nothing but a FAIL-fest. Countries offering this type of healthcare WOULD NOT allow a stampede of illegals into their country without doing anything about it. You cannot have it both ways. American politicians, the most "compassionate" of them all, choose to either ignore problems, throw money at problems, or pass them off on someone else while they fly the private jet back to the gated community and lambast some CEO in a speech to give the dog a new scent. This country is operated on people's feelings now instead of any sense of logic whatsoever. Politicians demagogue every single important issue we face, and it's becoming more and more obvious that they're only concerned about maintaining their respective base and living the American dream in public office via our tax dollars. If they solved problems, we wouldn't need them anymore. I'm not saying it's some conspiracy where they gather around and choose to act like this. It's just parity. They realize promising big and delivering small is the set formula, because you can always play on someone's emotions as long as the problem exists. Actual accomplishments (the kind that aren't spun into gold from horsesht) would work better, but they're not practical enough to accomplish anything. They're touchy-feely so-called "intellectuals" with more vision than sense and far better lifestyles than people with such abysmal job performances should lead. So I don't expect immigration to be dealt with by anyone any time soon. Just shout "racist" at everyone wanting illegals to go through proper channels, and leave the fallout for another generation.

yep i know what you mean. only 30% of americans don't have insurance so the other 70% of us have to pay the price and get insureance or get fined 556 a month. I have been to those countries that have the free health care and you have to schedule an appointment 6 months out. Obama says he has done more to secure our boarders than bush. but doing something is not solving it. The gov has found out that using this in elections will help them get elected.

I agree with you totally. I get so aggravated when I am shopping and a person who cannot even speak English has to have their child translate for them. If they are going to live here then learn the language! They are taking jobs away from U.S. citizens and I think it is wrong! We should take care of our citizens first. A good majority of these people drive better vehicles than we do and I know some of them don't even have a drivers license or insurance. I try not to be prejudice, but sometime its hard not to be towards these people.

I agree with all the responses in this discussion. I also have no problem with immigrants who enter and reside in the US legally and through proper channels. Unfortunately, illegal aliens abuse the system and live off US taxpayers. They actually make things bad for all immigrants, because they give them a bad reputation. America(USA) used to be a nation of laws for the most part. Now, it appears that America(USA) is an entitlement society where many people feel that they are entitled to government benefits and support. This costs US taxpayers money and shouldn't be tolerated anymore. I am an advocate of small government. I would like to get the US government off my back and out of my pocket. I hope that the majority of people in this country are willing to move to minimize government support and maximize self-support. It has been my experience that when people depend on the government to help them, they are often disappointed. That concludes my rant for today - thanks for listening...
