In our life, there will always be time for us to plan. Some people loves to make plans because it gives them direction. They also want their life to be organized and knowing the step by step procedure makes them feel at ease. However, some people do not love to plan because according to them, planning is just a waste of time. They say that it is better not to plan and let just things befall. In my own opinion, I love to plan because I think, I will be more successful in life when I do some plans. What is your opinion about this? What are the effects of making plan in your life?

plans give me an overview of what I want to happen, I'm a chronic planner, but I guess I'm not uptight about my plans and in my opinion taking the inevitable accidents and changes in other peoples decisions into consideration is a must because we don't control other people...... I think to plan is the best way to call your will to make something happen, we usually get what we envision, don't you agree?

hi marapplestiffy, I agree with you that we get what we want most of the time when we set plans. Especially these days in which New Year will be coming soon. I always consider planning as my priority before new year.

Planning is the best in our every action specially those part of our life considered critical. Like planning to get married on that month or year, you should have effective plan how to do and what to do? There are many vital use of planning but be aware us that not all our plans will result of success... see you around

i do make plans in my life but not in everything... and when i make plans, i make sure that i pray and put them into God's hands so that they align with His will... too many times in the past i make plans according to my will and they didn't work out because God had other better plans for me... so now i learn to just depend on Him and let Him lead my way... take care and have a nice day...

In life I do make plans and hope to keep to them. At the beginning of 2009 I had plans to visit South Africa. I did go off to Cape Town and the Garden Route. I hoped to pass my practical driving test and I finally did so in February 2010. I wanted to move from my house to a bungalow and I did so in August 2010. Writing my plans gave me more direction and made me successful. Now that I live in my bungalow I wanted to get a new kitchen and I got that done in October to November. I haven't got my loft insulated yet but I have plans to do so. I have planned a trip for 2011 so I hope that will make it successful and happy.

In my opinion, we had better make plans if we can before we do anything. That will make our life more organized. We needn't spent much time in planning . We just need to think about what we need to do carefully before doing. We should be clear what we do, how to do and so on in our heart. Plans will make your actions more efficient .

hi tyler, I like your use of word "efficient". I think planning is not a waste of time. It is just being done so not to waste your time on doing something which you don't know what will be the exact result afterwards. I think that not planning at all is just an excuse not to use the brain.

I do really try to make plans and think it all thro but it seems everytime i have made plans for things in the past they just fall apart but then the times i just go with the flow it seems to work better so for me i just try and go with the flow not make to many plans best just to what happens and see how things pan out!

hi ren1982, I agree with you. Sometimes, when we plan, we still cannot follow it. Sometimes, there are some cases in which you have to make another plan because the first plan do not work.

I totally agree that planning is required for small things also. Planning is equally important in any circumstances. Things without planned will never work out. Planning eases the procedure and feel at ease. I love to plan things before I start anything.

Hello Annie, for myself i can say that i love planning. I always do plans - how to spend the money, what we will have for meal, how much food we have, for how long... I love to have notebooks where i write everything - little lists for trips, notebooks for expenses, notebook for bills where i check if everything is paid and what we need to stay money for. But there is something else, in the last year i understood that plans for longer than a week or a month are not successful, so i stopped doing them. You are right when you say that plans are giving direction for some of us, it's the same with me, but there is always something little, which will make my plan not successful, i'll always have to do something, which happened soon and it's so so new that i don't know how to deal with it or will have to spend time dealing with it, so my plans ruin. I love everything to be clear in my life, so clear that i will know where i'm going to. I'll know what i'll do next day or next week, i just don't like surprises so much, because some of them are not good and take too much time for fighting.

Planning and forecasting are two things that are always compared. Planning indicates what should happen in the future (normative), while forecasting is concerned with what will happen in the future (positive). Somewhat difficult to understand, because the disparate fine line between understanding of planning on the one hand with forecasting on the other. Planning associated with management (how to manage): Planning, Implementation and Evaluation. Planning is a description of duties / activities are organized in a logical, systematic, measurable, and achievable. Tasks / activities are implemented, organized, monitored / supervised, made repairs as necessary so as not to deviate from the planned. Any duties / activities carried out are reported and evaluated by comparing it with the planned whether appropriate or not
