I remember a guy who marries a virtual girlfriend (its a videogame popular in Japan where a guy can date a digital girl)and the guy who marries his Pillow. There is also a guy who marries his horse and a guy who marries a blowm up doll. This time we have a woman, here she is: http://asiancorrespondent.com/42172/fed-up-taiwanese-woman-marries-self/ Basically this woman cant find a match so she decided to marry her self. Yes she is her own spouse.I know it sounds weird, what if she didn't get along with her self and ends up having divorce (LOL) She did it so her parent swill stop pressuring her from getting married.

She said she marries her self because no one can love her for who she is but her self. if she get some marital problems she might end up filing a restraining order that may led to divorce.LOL I guess if she have a time machine, then there will be two of her at the same timeline and she can finally make love with her self. (weird)

Wow, that's a really crazy story! I can't imagine marrying first of all your pillow horse or blow up doll, which is like really crazy already. Marrying yourself, like what the... Haha yeah what if you don't agree with yourself, that would be a tough fight. If you want to break up, how you wanna do that? :P

CaptAlbertWhisker, I believe this woman's action is mainly to get her parents off her back to marriage. For women reaching their 30's, it is just natural that their parents would get more concern and pressure them to commit to a marriage. I have nothing against that especially when it is done for their well being and future. However, I just cannot understand how the authorities could permit such a bogus and absurd form of marriage. Some countries just does not have any regards to their established code of law.

So on her Honeymoon she will be in her room all alone wearing that gown starring at nothing. I know marriage seemed to be a huge obsession of parents in China and Taiwan, They still do arrange marriages if my memory serves me right. The pressure from her parents could be a major reason indeed. I guess she wanted her parents to leave her alone.

Alright, that's amusing and...weird Over here in my country, people can download an app from South Korea for their iPhone, which involves dating a virtual girlfriend and having her 'caring' for you every single day. LOL, I don't find any joy in this, is it really that much joy to have a virtual girlfriend? Why not just find a real one, who really cares for you, instead of a computer-generated one?

I think they love virtual girlfriends because those 3d animated girls are attractive and submissive, Plus perverted men likes those games because they were actually full of adult content. Anyway here is the guy who married his virtual girlfriend: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsikPswAYUM and here is a parody of him: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2D30hmYjIm4&feature=fvw

It is weird!and truly a desperate move.... Why would she let other pressured her forgetting married? It'll come in due time., and if it is for her to get maried with someone she loves ,other than herself... People nowadays are doing things which are hardly understood and seemingly unbelievable. What is going on people?

That is so weird, too weird in fact. You sure that is marriage? Aint marriage suppose to be between two people? I understand though that she did it because of pressure but i'm still sure her parents must still be pressuring her because to me that aint marriage. She needs to go out in the world and explore more, she must find the right one sooner or later.

Hi Captain, New Avataar... Animation shows on profile but not here I read that news too. It was kind of sad and at the same time funny too...your thought of seeking divorce occurred to me too on this one. But weird are the rules these days and you can always think of something novel to get rid of those nagging lines... get married, start family... and the likes. But for the divorce... Hmmm... she might file out a case.. I am more worried now thinking how would she handle or will she ever feel that she was ditched

Another issue, what is she cheated on her self and have an affair without her knowing it. For sure she will feel betrayed. I also kinda worried if the marriage ends up being abusive. Where will she run to. If my memory serves me right, Polygamy is illegal in Taiwan, she she founds her true match, She will have to divorce her self. Now I am confused.
