Do you think that ASHWIN has been a talented bowler compared to HARBHAJAN?

talented bowler - He looks to be in good form.He has bright chances of becoming a great spinner in INTERNATIONAL cricket. He can bowl carom balls similar to Mendis. He is waiting to make his test debut for the Indian team.

Hi Friends, Harbhajan Singh has been out of form. But still he is playing in test matches for the Indian team.I think he needs a long break from International cricket. He can bowl well but recently he has not given his best for the Indian team.So I think he should be replaced by Ashwin.Ashwin is a talented bowler as he bowls in different varieties. He bowls similarly to Ajanta Mendis. He can bowl carom balls.Ashwin has not yet made his test debut for the Indian team.In the other two formats he has played well.He controls the pressure and tries to take wickets.By comparing him with Harbhajan I think he is an intelligent bowler. Friends,do you think that Ashwin is better than Harbhajan? Have a happy day.

I would not call Ashwin more talented as he has to prove a lot for being compared to Harbhajan although he has lot of variety including the carom ball.Problem with Bhajji is he was more lethal with his old action, that is early days of his career, but there was question on his action and he has to change it.He still is a good bowler but he has to make some changes.I am just presenting the analysis which Ravi Shastri has done.According to him Bhajji dosent use his hips and shoulders to good effect like Gram Swan does. Also he bowls a bit too fast these days, may be the effect of limited overs cricket and last thing he uses the top spinner more than doosra .If Bhajji can make these changes he will surely be one of the most dangerous bowlers in the world.

Hi Dub, Ashwin has so many varieties of balls like carom, classical off spin and top spin.He bowled well in the shorter formats. He was a ,match winning bowler for the CHENNAI SUPER KINGS in both Indian premier league and champions league.Harbhajan has less varieties compared to Ashwin. But his pace is totally different from Ashwin.Harbhajan bowls a bit faster than Ashwin. He usually flights the ball and traps the batsman. Both of them just differ in pace and experience.Ashwin has been waiting for his place in the test squad.Hope he gets his place and Harbhajan returns to his good his form. Thanks for your comment.Have a happy day.

Bhajji has better temperament than Ashwin as of now, Ashwin will learn for sure.If Ashwin got the chance instead of Jadeja , he would have cemented his place in 15 if not 11.Anyways better late than ever finally he has made it.Bright prospect for India surely. It would be interesting to see how he does in test cricket will all his variety.

I think there is a stiff competition among the bowlers of the Indian team. Each bowler needs to give his best for a place in the Indian squad.Ashwin came to Indian team because of he bowled superbly well for the Chennai super kings.Dhoni was happy with his bowling.Ashwin is yet to make his test debut.Yeah, you are right, but Ashwin didn't play in the first edition of the Indian premier league. But Jadeja played well in which Rajasthan Royals won the Indian premier league in the first season.I think the current selectors are doing a great job.

Hi sami, At this is point it is not worth comparing between Ashwin and Harbhajan. Accepted Harbhajan is struggling to regain his momentum and this does not mean that out and out players like Ashwin takes over. Domestic cricket is one thing and the International is another. Personally I have no ill feeling towards but you have to accept the reality na.

Hi Krab, I agree with you that international cricket is different from domestic cricket.Ashwin lacks experience in international cricket. But he bowls quite intelligently.Harbhajan has more experience but sometimes he fails to use his intelligence.Harbhajan just drifts the ball or he just flights the ball at different pace.Ashwin bowls different deliveries. He has classical off spin and carom ball which often disturbs the batsman.Harbhajan would regain momentum and would be back in his form for some couple of months. But still we have not seem Ashwin playing international cricket for long time. So I think Ashwin needs more time but at current I think no bowler is able to keep up his form continuously like Warne and Murali. Thanks for your comment.Have a happy day.

Murali and Warne are top class bowlers in international cricket. They have achieved so many records which is almost impossible now for the spinners. No bowler has been able to keep up his form continuously. For India.Kumble was the only bowler who was always constant and maintained his form throughout his career. He even finished well on the last test match he played.

except of the current and the last series Harbhajan is been a more effective bowler than that of Ashwin. but, listen i won't say that Ashwin is not that one to be compared with the Bhajji, yeah we can but still Ashwin has lots of things to be improved with the time. He has to take too many efforts to be a rational part of the winning Team India. In case of arbhajan the more powerful strength is that he has the huge experience behind him and, of course he made perfect use of it, though he is not in form since last couple of series. Hearbhajan is rational member causes to No.1 Test team(India). This was what my point of view, and still i think probably lots of people may agree with me, except nothing else.

Hi Mayur, Yes,experience is the main factor.Harbhajan has played more matches across many countries and has huge experience. He would know to attack the batsmen with his tactics at the right time. But his form has not been good for quite a long time. But he has been regaining his momentum in the second test of the current series.Ashwin also seem to be a good bowler. He had done well in other formats. He is waiting for his turn in the test matches.Ashwin is still learning and he needs to learn more from the experienced Harbhajan. Thanks for your comment.Have a happy day.

one more thing, i left to post; Harbhajan is mentally not that strong, he can't even control his emotions and mostly Anger. Do you heard that he slapped Srisanth during one of IPL season and that is, that is the proper example of what he can't control his anger. Sometimes it make him out of form and even out of TEAM which i have seen so rarely. Now it's been about to end of his career... you have done gr8 job for our team, and we gonna miss you ever. even when you will left the TEAM. Thanks a lot BHAJJI !!

Hi Bazad, Both of the bowlers are different from each other. They differ each other in varieties.Ashwin bowls so many varieties compared to Harbhajan. He bowls quite wisely and intelligently.Harbhajan also bowls with varieties but at some fast pace.Ashwin is yet to make his debut at test matches.Ashwin having little experience would look forward for a place in the upcoming test squad of the Indian team.Harbhajan has more experiences when compared to Ashwin.Since Harbhajan has more experience he looks better than Ashwin. Thanks for your comment.Have a happy day.

On this occasion I want to ask you one question, How can say that Harbhajan is not contributing his 100% to team India?Have forgot his two consecutive centuries in the last tour of Newzealand. And at that time India was struggling and it is to be mentioned that if there was no such innings India would have lost that test match also.So think....even now can you say that Harbhajan Singh is not playing well??Of course he might not be able to take wickets in the first test match against South Africa. But remember that one can't judge a player with only seeing his one match performance. I agree that Ashwin a good thinking bowler. But if Harbhajan is replaced by him and if he didn't bowl well we will say that it is the mistake of captain and simply we have washed off from the scene and got a new one to blame on..

Hi John, Harbhajan also has the talent of batting. He can bat well in some occasions. When he hit his two consecutive centuries against New Zealand the bowling of kiwis were not good in some of the sessions.Their poor deliveries were vanished by Harbhajan. But Ashwin doesn't bat as much as Harbhajan. He can only bowl.He bowls with different varieties.Harbhajan differs his ball with various pace.Ashwin is not having enough of experience than Harbhajan .Harbhajan would be hoping to get back to his momentum and Ashwin will be looking forward to get a place in the Indian squad for the upcoming matches. At current situation,no bowler is able to keep up his form.Hope Harbhajan regains his form and Ashwin gets a place in the test squad for the upcoming matches. Thanks for your comment.Have a happy day.

At this stage I think Ashwin is nowhere near Harbhajan as a baller. Ashwin is talented and creating waves in one day and T-20. But O.D.I. and test matches are different ball games and can not be compared. It is true Harbhajan has not balled to his caliber in last test match but he can come to form any time. Ashwin will have to wait for some more time for a test match cap.

Hi Divarkar, Definitely Ashwin lacks experience. He has just played t20s and a couple of ODI.Ashwin has some characteristic bowling as he is able to bowl with different techniques. But his experience would be important for the test matches. He has played well in short formats. It will be challenging for him to play in test matches. He needs experience so when he is under pressure he will be to control his balls.Harbhajan has lost his momentum. He has been out of form for quite a long period. He would gain his momentum at any time.He can also bowl different balls. At current,Ashwin needs to concentrate on the shorter forms.Hope Harbhajan gets back to is form within a short period. Thanks for your comment.Have a happy day.
