I am trying to keep up..or should I say finish this year so that I can do some of my trips I have taken in the past. The problem I have sometimes though is when I do alot at one time some of my pages start looking the same. Then I have to search out some examples for ideas. Do you have the same problem? Do your pages seem to start looking alot alike when you do a bunch at one time?

Hiya jill,
What I am doing is taking Photos of some of my favourite Photos with a Camera that has less kbytes in each Photo and they are fun to keep as when we change this Tower I can load them on to Cds and I will have a bit more space on each Cd.
Have not got much Room really here so that´s my form of "scrapping".
I also take Photos of things like my Christmas Cards, Photos of the old Calendar and things like that.
I like doing this and it entertains me a while.
I bet your Scrapbooks are something to look at would put mine Photo Album to shame .
I am trying to learn Welsh at the moment but not very much as it´s hard to remember but here goes Nadolig Llawen Merry Christmas. Oh well never mind bit out of Season now but not for us here till January 6th of 2011. I was watching a bit about the Christmas Decorations you have in New York they are spectacular. I took a few Photos off the Television Screen so I can remember them when I want to. Take care now.xxx

Hiya Jill,
Yes I love taking Photos but these lot in my House are all Camera shy so I don´t have a lot of People to practice on
Will be taking Photos of the Fireworks tonight and the Decorations that are quite spectacular in some Places too.
But I love the Rockerfeller Centre Angels more than the Tree itself and I took a few Pictures of those they are quite clear considering it´s the Television I took them from.
Happy New Year Jill and Happy Scrap Booking too. xxx

I think we all have that problem. If you try to overdo it, your brain gets stuck with the same type of ideas in your mind and it's hard to make your pages different. I try to design my pages over time, sometimes even just making a quick drawing for future pages, and then pile the ideas up for when I have time to work on them. That way even if I don't have time to actually build the pages, I have a set of different ideas to work with.
The only scrapbooking I've done lately is creating my birth announcements :) I'm falling behind on my scrapbook but I just haven't had the energy this year. Once my baby is born, I'll be starting her scrapbook and I'm excited to do that!

Personally I have the materials and have had the intentions to do some Scrapbooking but anymore I have been using my Cell phone or a Digital camera when I take pictures and can upload them right away if I need too onto my computer, so unless I was to use my paint shop pro, etc and do something with them, I don't have any recent ones to do anything with.

I am really not into scrapping. Have tried it and just can't get the hang of putting things together. I guess for starters I would have to send photos from my computer to Walgreen's since my printer isn't connected yet. I have tons and tons of pictures on my computer of our grandkids. Is there any suggestion or suggestions you can offer to someone who doesn't know where to start? The basic concept I understand.
Thanks for any help you can recommend and Happy New Year,
carolbee

Any time creativity is blocked the artist gets frustrated. This is when writers suffer from "writers block". Painters long ago cut their ear off and Hemingway went to Key Largo. I turn to Erma Bombeck. I know scrap bookers who scrap book sections in three stages for the very reason you are talking about. Have fun!

I know the feeling. I only scrapbook about once a month at a local scrapbooking club. I struggle a lot with finding clever ways to do every page. I read magazines for ideas and I hit the library for their books too. The library is a good resource for books on crafts of all kinds, not just scrapbooking.
What I try to do to avoid making all my pages look the same is just do one page at a time. It takes longer but it does keep my pages looking very different and unique, and that's what it sounds like you are trying to do. Try that!
Another good place to consider for ideas to vary your pages is the Internet, of course. Just do a web search on "scrapbooking tips" or "scrapbooking ideas" and see what you get.
Happy Scrappin'!

No, my pages don't usually look a lot alike. I do like to use borders around my pictures though. I haven't done any scrap booking this winter, but next week I am going to get some older pictures developed, so I can do a few pages to help past the time. I get a lot of ideas from the books that I have on hand, and there are some really cute ideas in some of them, and plus when I look at other ideas, I get inspired and am able to create some of my own.
