Different cultures celebrate the New Year with different foods. The most popular around here is sauerkraut. Hubby and I never liked it so we opted for a different tradition. We have navy bean or lentil soup with ham in it and corn bread for the New Year. What food do you eat to celebrate New Years Day?

We use our traditional Puerto Rican foods for the holidays, but as the first poster our New years day is more of an outing amongst adults so we normally go out and party the night out. Although Christmas is more of a family together and great feasting for us.

I actually do not celebrate with my family on New Years. It ends up being more like a party night for us than anyone. Lentil soup sounds super good though. Enjoy the holiday!
