Goals in Mylot

I never had any goals in mylot on a daily basis or even monthly. I just write in here each time that I feel like writing and when there are discussions of my interest. For the past few weeks however, I have neglected mylot and i thought about having a goal and that is to reach the payout by January 15. But then i thought again, this is not why i am here in mylot. It's not about money, it's about expressing myself, enjoying the discussions and having a healthy argument once in awhile. Now I am just happy to be in here and writing the way that I used to.

I have absolutely no goals when I login on a daily basis, except to engage with many wonderful myLot members that I encounter on a daily basis. I may one of the many exceptions as I am never anxious to see what my daily earnings are, nor do I worry if my points and or rating has increased and or not, as each time I log off I feel a sense of accomplishment. Sure the money at the end of the month is nice, but I simply see it as a pat on the back for contributing. Good luck to you and please read mysd advice about payout structure. Happy New year.

I know how the payout works in here dear as i have already gotten one. But since it's not that important to me, i don't care much of when i'm gonna receive it.

Hi, To be frank, in the starting phase I too wanted to reach the pay out but now I have stopped that and whenever I feel like or my mood is good to express something I visit this sight. The most important factor of this site is we can see th perspective of people of different nations on particular issues.

If you are happy to be here and find that you are writing the way that you used to then you will also find that you reach payout without even realising it too! Those who come here intent on earning are usually the ones that have difficulty reaching it. Strange but that is how it goes. Just one thing: the payout on January 15th will be for those who reached their minimum by the end of December (tomorrow night at midnight myLot time). Next one will be on February 15th, or thereabouts, for those who reach it by the end of January. I am certian that you will qualify for one or the other right?

This is a very important point to make about the dates as many later will come on here and make discussions that they did not get their pay out. So thanks my friend as I find it very helpful and contributed well to the topic.

Indeed you are right, in fact when i reached my first payout it was so fast because i didn't check it at all and i was just surprised that i've suddenly reached it. And regarding about the payout that you mentioned, i don't care about when i'm gonna get it.

you are so right, as learning is much more important than the earnings are anyway, as they aren't all that much to begin with. I have learned a lot being here, and I hop;e to continue to learn. I am glad to be a part of it as well, as I have also gained a lot of friends, and I am glad for everyone of them. I think that if others would feel the way you do about learning in here, they would enjoy themselves much more and their earnings will add up faster. Good luck to you and have a great new year.

Kudos! I, too, love mylot first because of the freedom I feel while expressing my thoughts to the world. Then, because of earning. This is especially the time of the month when we all have that urge to post a lot in order to meet the minimum before month end. I've been guilty of that as well, but, time and again, I get reminded of the real reason I like it here. And then, the pressure is off. Then, mylotting becomes pleasurable again. Such a vicious cycle, huh?

yes, i have but i don't specific how many i should write in.i just set a goal to log in to mylot and keep respond and respond to others.that is why when i am away from it, i will feel something wrong and feel awkward a day without mylot.addicted to it?yes i think..hehe..i have tried to put some goals but i failed to do so.i know that it is useless to set any target so i just keep respond and write as many as i can.but it does not mean i just keep doing it because of money but for the sake of helping and sharing views with others as well.

yes i think many users cna set their goals on mylot related to earnings monthly...surely it would not be easy find time day by day for mylot and so in amny cases it can be good your approach such as discussing different topics and after a period considering if a kind of your goals can be solved or not!!

hi toniganzon oddly when we relax and really enjoy reading our friends discussions and responding we do actually make more money. those whose only concern is making money are missing the wonderufl freedom to express ourselves to our mylot friends and often times help them with their own problems.I forget all about money when I respond to a friend who is looking for some ideas on how to solve her problems. I am honed in on her discussion and how I might be able to help or suggest someone else who could help so money is not even in my mind.

I used to have goals in mylot, eg to make payout every month. But I only lasted 3 months that way. Subsequently, I realised that I may not be making full use of the time I have effectively. Then I spent more time on other sites, and come to mylot to relax and enjoy the discussions. With no targets or goals, I have not reached payout since the beginning of the year, but I'm still happy about it. It is only towards the end of the year that I thought it best to try to reach payout buy tomorrow (31 Dec 2010), just for the fun of it. Let's see if I made it.

hi toni, Talking about goals... it is good to have goals but it depends on what the goal is. I find you in the right direction and so I appreciate your goal and hope that you get to have great friends here at MyLot. You made the right goal for you dear. It is surely going to be fun and an experience to cherish for long. After all money is not the only thing that makes me (and hopefully many) go ga ga HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011 theSids

A goal hmmm.... I like your point about not having to make pay out month to enjoy mylot, a reasonable goal would be to join 1 or 2 discussions when your on mylot. Perhaps start one and followthrough a discussion 1-3 times a week? But you are right, the best goal in mylot is just to enjoy the discussions!

When I entered into myLot, there was nothing in my mind. Slowly it find interesting on discussions, then moved to more with postings and spend more time on it. Gradually strike the earning portion as it is getting increased. An income, that is small or big, which generates from our effort is need not be ignored. We are not purposively making it, when we participates, it generates based on our time and effort. It made me feel that keep a target and work accordingly. It has certain hidden motivation also. When I targeted to USD10 in a month, I though it won't be possible. For the last to payouts I got achieved my garget more than expected and now it is my intention to $15. So keeping a target make sense. Not ever having referral, I managed to accumulate it. This payout would be $15 and above. The motivation make more precise to the things and it will be added with quality also. In short, having a target or goal is not a simple thing, there is some desire behind it. However, this is my spare time and the spare time can make $15 a month is not a waste. So, that is all from my myLot goal. The figures I mentioned here is to tell you that if we try, we can achieve. Also, if we have so many active referrals, the figures can go ever higher. Thank-s

I have no goals in MyLot either, which is weird for me, I have goals and deadlines with almost everything else (and I'm pretty good with that, too). But at times I find nothing to say here, and on other days there are so many interesting discussions I barely have the time to read them all. I was thinking maybe I should set a weekly goal for MyLot, that should be easier to keep
