I have heard that a girl have travel aroud the world by her own sailing on th sea. It is astonished, and I don't think I can do the same. However, why every people like to travel? Is it neccessary to go see the famous spot around the world when you become rich? Is that a way to enjoy your life? Why? What's the relationship between life and travel?

I traveled around the world by plane when I was 20 to 21 years old. I stayed away for over one year on my fantastic trip. I let my cottage out and got a working holiday visa for Australia. Therefore I got money from work in Australia and had a monthly income from letting out my home. I traveled to California and saw sights like Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Venice Beach and Disneyland. Then I went off to Hawaii and saw palm fringed beaches. Seeing Pearl Harbor was sad but fascinating. In Fiji I stayed on laid back Beachcomber Island and popped across to treasure island. I tried out the exciting activity of para sailing. Wow! The highlight of my trip was Australia. As the plane was about to land in Sydney I saw the white sails of the opera house and the gray harbor bridge. I worked as a children's nanny, a factory worker and a charity collector. I saw wildlife including kangaroos, koalas, wallabies, crocodiles, cockatoos and emus. I visited New South Wales, South Australia, Victoria, Queensland and the Northern Territory. Then I flew off to Singapore and also hopped over to Sumatra plus Malaysia. I developed my patience and came home a better person I think. The girl was very brave to sail around the world. Traveling is a way to enjoy life and it is fascinating to see the world's beauty.

Hey, you must be rich (as you say you tavel the world by 21) and you said you got a working holiday. Such holidays You had gone to Australia, California, Hawaii, Pearl Harbor, and Fiji... Wow! Lots photos were taken by you. I bet. I guess I will also consider of a working holiday somewhere and someday. Earning experience like you, to some extents, has a greater value than the money you can earn. Patience and a better quality of life may be the commons between the sharing. Thank you.

I think to a lot of people it's important. But there are some people who never travel and are happy with it. I have a friend who is constantly traveling. He's been all over Europe, to Chile, and is currently studying abroad in Ecuador. He literally can't stay still, stay in one place. He's determined to see the world..Regardless of how much debt that puts him in. I've only really travelled out of the country once, and that was last April. I really enjoyed it. It brought me a lot of happiness, seeing the different cultures in Sweden and Denmark and France. It was amazing, although scary, because I was traveling alone on the ways there and the ways back (to visit my sister who was studying abroad). It was a once-in-a-lifetime type of opportunity and it still blows my mind that I did it. I really want to travel, or take at least one trip a year. Next year I am thinking Hawaii.

Your friend must be a romantic person. I wish he could continue his explorations. Seeing different cultures, visiting relatives, traveling alone... All brings you memories of happiness. I wish I could experience the enjoyment of travel, as I am the type of glass half empty. Traveling is the right of a optimist. Thanks for sharing.

I think traveling is a hobby for some people because living in the same place for a long time makes you feel like you wanna get out of there and explore other places. It could get boring living in one place for the rest of your life, you know. I think that's why there are some people who'd prefer to spend their money traveling to places they have never been. Another reason might be that the person wants to know a certain culture. Maybe he wants to learn another way of living besides his own that's why he travels. Others wanna learn how they build structures in certain places because, obviously, our approach to building structures differ from one another because we're too far away from each other. I've watched in History Channel about Rome and how the modern structures are greatly influenced by them. The documentary said that most of the structures we have today originated from Romans. I believe this is true. For example, the pillars of certain churches and temples originated from them. Certain roofing style (i forgot what they called it) also originated from them. My point is, that is the influence of traveling and learning. They once spread their beliefs and teachings a certain time in the past by traveling and teaching it themselves to others who were not aware of it.

So you think that travelling help refresh yourself and help learn from the past, right? I agree that travel can change a person, especially you are kinectic and curious about the world. If I have chances, I may go out and have a look on the real world. Happy New Year!

I am the type of person who likes to travel, I have been to diffrent continents, southeast asia, middle east, Europe, Africa and North America. I am not rich, I am just a normal employee. Whenever I have the money just enough for my air ticket and accommodation, I will take off. It is really fun to see different places in this globe and be amazed on God's creation.....its wonderful to stare at ancient architectures and monuments of ancient civilization...it is so nice to experience other people's culture and their way of life...to learn the country's history explains the behavior and attitude of the people of today. My traveling has changed me in many ways. My personality, my way of thinking and outlook in life has been changed. I am more tolerant now and patient to other people's behavior as I understand them better. Traveling is not just learning but also an awesome experience that could influence our whole being.

Well, you know, I am not a perfect person. If travel can change a person more than a polictician can change, I think I would like to take a chance to rebuild my character. No matter what the price it'll take. I want to be more talkative, be a wise and humorous person. I'm just too shy to express myself. Thanks for sharing your awsome experience.
